Friday In House News - If your Brother Is In Trouble, So Are You?

Happy Weekend!!!

FRIDAY MEMO
I need to quickly ask this...Do people eat cats? ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
I read in the Thursday Boredom eliminating post where someone listed cats as what they could never eat...I have heard of dogs and every other thing but cat? As in pussy cat or licking kpekus? We all know that ''EAT PUSSY AND EAT PUSSY'' are two different things…..LOL
End of that discussion..
Yesterday i went to do Powder brows and the pain i felt was same as labour pains cos the pain went through all my body and as i could not shout i kept swallowing the pain....…..WTFFFFk!!!Its all gone now though but left me weak and with a little headache..And i asked her if it was painful oh and she said No…….Its done and I am looking at it with side eyes….she said it would take form in the next days if not i am stuck with it like this for the next two yrs oh.....

Paid so much for this pain…...but the beauty is coming out sha...maybe i go fine small for my haters dem eyes...hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Has anyone here tired Powder brows before? How many yrs did it last?
Enjoy your day people
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Who is your blog BFF?Doesnt matter whether you have met before or not....someone you are in good sync with and both understand each other very well?I wont say mine cos Jealousy go too much oh...heheheheheheheheh

If Your Brother Is In Trouble, So Are You?

In this context, “brother” doesn’t mean only your biological brother. It means your person, your friend, your sister, your close companion, the one you call family even without shared blood.
And the question is simple but heavy: If your person is in trouble, does it automatically affect you too?
Most times, yes.
When someone close to you is going through a crisis, the ripple rarely stays on their side. Their pain affects your peace. Their challenges can shift your routine, your emotions, and sometimes even your reputation. Friendship is not just about laughter and gist; it’s also about standing steady when life shakes the people you love.
Being there doesn’t always mean fighting their battles. Sometimes it means listening, guiding, correcting, or simply refusing to abandon them when things get messy. Silence can look like betrayal, and presence can feel like rescue.
So the real question becomes: If your friend is in trouble, are you automatically involved?
For most genuine relationships, the answer leans toward yes. Because true friendship is not just connection , it’s responsibility.

NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS

There is this bushy piece of land beside my house whose owner we had never seen. My husband suggested that we clear it and plant some cassava. I agreed but told him that he would be surprised to see the owner show up the moment we cleared it.
True to my prediction, a man showed up the next day, claiming to be the landowner's husband.
I reminded my husband of what I had told him earlier. A similar incident had happened before. Whenever landowners notice any form of trespassing on their property, they tend to show up, regardless of how long they have been absent.
Anyway, we exchanged pleasantries and introduced ourselves as tenants living nearby. He understood and gave us permission to continue farming on the land.
The following week, the landlord who lives next door came to take some plantain stems from the land, and he and my husband got talking.
He mentioned that he had previously farmed on the land, and my husband told him that the landowner had shown up.
At that point, the man interrupted him, saying that the landowner was a woman who did not have one particular husband, as he was the one who had sold the land to her. He added that she changed spouses from time to time.
That conversation didn't sit well with me because I didn't see the need for the man to divulge such personal information about her marital life.
I concluded that he had simply been carried away by the conversation and hadn't necessarily intended to tarnish the woman's reputation.

He knew exactly what he was doing abeg

Five Things to Know When You’re Looking for Love

1. Not everyone who says “I miss you” actually misses you
Some people are just bored, lonely, or looking for entertainment. Don’t hand over your heart because someone typed three sweet words.

2. Real interest is obvious
When someone genuinely likes you, you won’t need to decode messages like a CIA agent. Love doesn’t hide; confusion usually means disinterest.

3. Time is the real love language
If someone is always “busy,” “sleeping,” or “in a meeting,” they may not be prioritising you. People make time for what matters — even if it’s five minutes.

4. Character lasts longer than beauty
Fine face can attract you, but good character keeps you. A beautiful person with a terrible attitude is simply a beautifully packaged problem.

5. Rushing love is the fastest route to heartbreak
Take your time. Know the person. Let your brain walk beside your heart — not behind it. Love is sweet, but caution is sweeter.

Five Things to Know When You’re Heartbroken

--. Your pain is real, and it matters
Heartbreak isn’t “overreacting.” It’s a genuine emotional injury. Allow yourself to feel it without shame.

--. Healing won’t happen in one day
Some days you’ll feel okay, other days you’ll feel shattered. That’s normal. Healing comes in waves, not in a perfect sequence.

--. Don’t turn the past into a fairy tale
When you’re hurting, your mind may highlight only the sweet moments. Remember the full story , both the joy and the reasons it ended.

--. Space is part of recovery
Distance helps your heart breathe again. You can’t heal properly while staying emotionally glued to what broke you.

--. You will love again
Heartbreak feels final, but it isn’t. You’ll eventually love with clearer boundaries, stronger self-respect, and a better understanding of what you deserve.

Five Things to Know If You Are a Jealous Person

--. Jealousy is a signal, not a shame
It doesn’t mean you’re bad or toxic — it means something inside you needs attention. Understanding the root is the first step to controlling it.

--. Most jealousy comes from fear, not facts
Fear of losing someone, fear of not being enough, fear of being replaced. When you separate fear from reality, your reactions become calmer and clearer.

--. Overthinking creates stories that are not true
Jealousy loves imagination. It can turn a harmless situation into a full movie in your head. Always check the facts before you react.

--. Trust is a skill you must practice
Even if you’ve been hurt before, you can relearn trust. Start small. Allow people to show you consistency. Trust grows through evidence, not wishful thinking.

-- You can’t control people , only your response
Trying to monitor, question, or police someone will only damage the relationship. Focus on managing your emotions, not managing another person’s movements.

  10. As seen on the street of Facebook, I don't know if its permitted but if SDK post I'll post the concluding part coa it's long

    Please post for me.

I've been married for years, and my wife has been involved with one popular politician for almost four years now. I found out about it two years ago when I saw some messages on her phone.

We had a serious fight that day, and our marriage almost ended. But after we sat down and talked, I realised this man was spending a lot of money on my wife. He bought her a car, supported her business and paid for so many things. Even some of the money we used to renovate our house came from him.

At some point, I told my wife that since the relationship had already started, she should at least make sure our family was benefiting from it. I won't pretend I'm a saint either. I have women outside my marriage too, so we eventually settled things between ourselves.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. But please, don't call it an open marriage. I love my wife, and I still get jealous. I only accepted the situation because of the money and the things it was doing for our family.

This politician was really into my wife. In fact, she practically changed his whole appearance. Before he met her, he used to wear oversized native outfits and shoes that didn't even match. My wife introduced him to her tailor and started making him wear those neat white senator outfits.

Nowadays, whenever you see him, he's almost always wearing white. That's my wife's influence. She also encouraged him to lose weight, helped him choose perfumes and even advised him on the pictures he posted on social media.

Sometimes, when I saw him on TV, I would joke with my wife, "See your boyfriend looking sharp!" She would laugh.

The man used to send her money for all sorts of things. Birthdays, Christmas, Valentine's Day, even on an ordinary Monday. He didn't need any special occasion to send money.

One time, he gave her money to buy herself a bag, and she transferred ₦4 million to me from it.

Honestly, I wasn't comfortable with the relationship, but I kept telling myself that at least this man valued my wife. Sometimes, I even felt a strange kind of pride knowing that someone of his status was so interested in the woman I married.

But everything changed about four months ago.

The politician suddenly started avoiding my wife. He stopped picking her calls and kept making excuses about meetings and being busy. At first, I thought it was just politics keeping him occupied. Then my wife found out he was seeing another woman.

What made the whole thing more painful for her was that the new woman was older than she was. My wife is in her 30s, while this woman is around 45 or 46. She's a divorced businesswoman who reportedly moves around with influential people.

Now the politician is taking her on trips and attending events with her.

Last month, my wife was crying in our bedroom because the man hadn't called her in almost three weeks.

Just imagine me, her husband, sitting on the bed watching my wife cry because another man was no longer giving her attention. I honestly didn't know whether to comfort her or get angry.

I asked her if she had done anything to offend him or if there was a problem between them in the bedroom. She said she had no idea what was going on.

I told her to at least try to find out what happened. How can someone just walk away from a relationship of almost four years without any proper explanation?

But since then, something has changed in the way I see my wife.

I know some people will call me foolish, but I can't help the way I feel. Sometimes, I look at my wife and feel as if another man has had his time with her and now considers her no longer worth his attention.

This is the woman I paid bride price for. She's my wife and the mother of my children. Yet I find myself thinking about how another man was with her for years, spent money on her, and has now moved on to someone else.

These days, when she tries to cuddle me at night, I sometimes move away. My mind keeps going back to the fact that the politician who once gave her so much attention doesn't seem to want her anymore.

And the money that used to come in regularly has reduced drastically too.

I honestly don't know what's wrong with me anymore. I know my feelings might sound unreasonable, but I can't seem to get them out of my head.

      @omerem.

    2. When he was enjoying, he did not see her like that, now that he is no longer paying attention to her, he now knows he paid her bride price? 🤣🤣🤣. They should both continue in their iniquity. He should not worry, another politician will come along

      Delete
    3. See man. So because his wife is no longer desirable to the politician he too want to leave. Wonders shall never end

      Delete
    4. I'm happy because you know something is actually wrong with you, just that you don't know what it is? Yeye man.

  14. I've read several people share their experience of their beans not cooking , like it won't soften if you've allowed it sit in water for some time before cooking.
Not that I disbelieved them, but I've always wondered how that happens.

I finally had my own experience yesterday. Shortly after my daughter put the beans on fire, the light went off. She was using a hot plate, so she left it just the way we usually do, to continue cooking later when light is restored.

Later in the day, she continued. I was already back at home. My people, after more than three hours, the beans remained just the way they were when she left them.

To cut a long story short, we left it cooking for at least seven hours. No change. It remained the same.😳
We had to start cooking another batch, from same bag of beans but no break in between and everything was fine.

Has anyone here experienced the same thing?

    3. Dear Mor, salt wasn't added. And e for better if it's just about slowing how it cooks. In my quest for answers i just discovered this: The hard-to-cook (HTC) phenomenon. It is a recognised defect in beans and other legumes, and it can cause them to remain stubbornly hard even after hours of boiling.
@ Anon, I used to have but it got spoilt. Thank you.

    4. Unbelievable ! What type of beans took 7 hours to cook?Try this, When you put beans in the pot from the beginning, add enough onions. It makes it soft and also it won't take longer to get done.
