Gospel Singer Testimony Jaga Talks About Gospel Artists Who Left Christ Embassy After Rising To Fame

Gospel singer Testimony Jaga spoke out openly about some of the big names who started their careers in Christ Embassy but later walked away from the ministry.

In clips circulating online, Jaga apologized to Igbos, saying he meant no disrespect, but added that “everybody wey chop pastor eyes na Igbo,” referring to gospel artists who, according to him, benefited heavily from Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and the church before moving on.

He also claimed that when Pastor Chris’s birthday came, none of those artists showed up, and when the pastor later called a meeting, none attended , something he said deeply hurt the ministry.

Jaga remains a committed member of Christ Embassy and has often credited Pastor Chris for shaping his life and career. Many well‑known gospel voices , Sinach, Frank Edwards, Joe Praize, and others first rose to fame through the Loveworld Music Ministry before branching out to build their own platforms.

In early 2025, Pastor Chris himself addressed the exits, saying the church had begun to feel more like a party arena than a place of prayer. He noted that some artists became more focused on popularity and money than on soul‑winning and aligning with the ministry’s direction.

He said he tried to correct the path, but they chose differently.

  1. The focus on birthday of a pastor is too much.

  2. But what if they had a bad experience with the pastor. Everybody’s experience may not be the same

    1. When he accommodated them and they were given a platform he didn't do them wrong oo, but as soon as they are out. It is now what if "they had a bad experience".
If you have workers working for you, you will understand that no matter how you try, give them clothes, food, extra tips. They always have a plan to move on, if you like share dinner at night and see, it changes nothing.
They shouldn't be biund to stay there forever cos stardom takes different paths, but checking up on birthdays and anniversaries means a lot. Caio adios.

  4. One of the issues I have with people who say, "I did this and that for so-and-so, and they left me," is that they would never tell you what the other person did for them. Are you trying to say that throughout the relationship, the other person wasn't useful to you in one way or another? That you were just pouring into them and never received any semblance of support, care, or value, maybe not necessarily in the way you gave it, but in the capacity that the other party could offer?
Sometimes, they end up making it look like it was a parasitic relationship all along, whereas, if the other party comes out to speak, you would see that they weren't useless while the friendship lasted.

Somebody helped me to get a land(with my money of course) also called me when there was an issue with land grabbers but this person wouldn't stop begging from me. As a matter of fact, while I was still building this person used that opportunity to ask me for money for this and that. I didn't say anything and kept giving. Then on celebratory seasons I would give them gifts every years till the house was finally built.

Then this person had a celebration I didn't show up for, then I started hearing statements like, "after all I did for you"and I couldn't believe it. What did you do, didn't you get anything in return.

For all of them not to be bothered to show up who knows might be because they feel they have paid their dues and are tired of being guilt-tripped about being disloyal.

  6. Jaga pls mind your business! You do not know the exact details of what happened and note that everyone of them must have had individual experiences with the Pastor. Stop judging them, nobody tied their entire destiny to a particular church. They are tied to Jesus simple
And stop taking sides are you trying to buy favour from pastor Chris.
Biko Stella give him that your seat for him to sit down, drink water, and mind his business
