ReplyDeleteThis is indeed a momentous moment. That said, no church should ever be dedicated to any human being. Building a holy sanctuary with the expectations that God will enter and the Holy Spirit will dwell can only and ever be dedicated to God. After all, we have been told that God is a jealous God. While pastor Jerry is a beloved pastor, do not let love cross the line into worship and idolizing, all idolatry is an abomination no matter how it is manifested. Build your church for God and for the healing of broken, not to worship any mortal man.
ReplyDeleteAccording to what I understand from the scriptures, the church building can be dedicated to a human being because those buildings are not God's dwelling place. He is inside of us, not in the building made by man's hand's.
DeleteSlim, that’s why so many churches are falling to the ground these days, even with ppl worshipping in them. Let them stay dedicating their churches to each other, and worshipping themselves in their doings. We will all live to see more of them tumble down.
