Her decision not to share it on social media reportedly upset the friend, who questioned why she refused to show off the bracelet and even suggested she might have thought it was fake.
Laura says that after several disagreements, she decided to return the gift, and the friendship ended.
She explained that she no longer feels the need to share every personal experience on social media, and stressed that not posting the bracelet did not mean she was ungrateful.
She also added that she's in her late 30s and focusing on building her business has changed her perspective towards public displays of gifts.

Fake living 😁 someone that loves showing off. I can bet you a lot of people don't believe her.
DeleteI see it differently sha.
ReplyDeleteThe one platform where I share gifts & thoughtful gestures from friends is my WhatsApp status. It's my little way of saying thank you to the person, letting them know that I appreciate the thought behind the gesture, and that I'm happy to show them off a little. 😂
I also make a conscious effort to use gifts I'm given because, personally, I think it feels good to know that something you gave someone is being put to good use.
I guess people receive & express gratitude differently. Perhaps her friend just wanted to feel appreciated in a way that mattered to her. I may not have handled it the same way, but I can understand why she felt bad.
I think she also wanted us to know about her gift tastes.
DeleteHmmm 🙄🙄🙄
ReplyDeleteThat one na devil's gift, give a gift and stop telling the person gifted how to use or show off the gift, that is witch craft, you wan control me because you give me gift? To hell with your gift! This is why I am always suspicious about gifts and kind gestures people are dangerous;
