A MEMO ON WHY YOU SHOULD STAY POSITIVE
Life will always throw challenges, but your mindset decides whether those challenges become stepping stones or stumbling blocks.
Staying positive is not pretending everything is perfect ;
it’s choosing strength over fear, clarity over chaos,
and hope over doubt.
A positive attitude keeps your mind open, your spirit steady, and your decisions sharp. It helps you see opportunities where others see obstacles, and it protects your peace in a world that constantly tries to shake it.
Negativity drains, distracts, and destroys.
Positivity builds, guides, and restores.
When you stay positive, you attract better thoughts,
better actions, and better outcomes.
Stay positive!

EASY TO NOTICE
If you see the way women submit to the men they love you
will stop begging to be respected.
That your stubborn girlfriend doesn't love you.
Women submit effortlessly when they love genuinely.

WHY SOME RELATIONSHIPS BREAK
A relationship gradually breaks down when the man keeps tolerating your stubbornness and disrespect, keeps forgiving while you keep repeating the same behaviour without regret or change.
Every good man has his limits too.

Just 48 hours to my 50th birthday, fully armed policemen dragged me out of my shop.
They were shouting to the whole street that I was the "Mama Isale" (godmother) keeping ransom money for kidnappers.
My husband died two years ago. Since then, I’ve just been living my quiet life here in Ilorin.
I sell provisions in front of my house, and my only movement is from my shop to the central mosque, and back home.
Everybody in my area respects me. They all call me Alhaja.
But one foolish mistake from my own flesh and blood almost sent me to prison for a crime I knew nothing about.
It started one Tuesday afternoon. One young guy walked up to my shop looking very stranded. He begged that he needed an account number to quickly receive money from his brother so he could pay his transport fare.
I just looked at him and shook my head. As a widow doing business, I don't joke with my account details. I never give strangers my account number. With all the EFCC and POS fraud happening everywhere now, you cannot use your own hands to buy trouble.
I told him point-blank that I couldn't help him. I even advised him to go to the mosque down the street and speak to the committee members, if his problem was genuine, they would surely help him. Immediately I mentioned the mosque, he just squeezed his face and walked away.
I thought the matter had ended there. I didn't know the devil was already sitting right in front of my house.
When the guy left my shop, he met my 17-year-old son two streets away. He changed the story completely. He told my son he was expecting some money and promised him a whole ₦30,000 if he could provide an active account and an ATM card to withdraw it immediately.
My son, because of the greed for quick money, quickly agreed.
But he didn't even use his own account. He sneaked into my room and took his late father's ATM card. That specific bank account was the one I kept active just to save my daily profits for this same boy’s university school fees.
The money dropped. My son gave the guy the ATM card and the PIN. They went to a POS, cleared the money, and the guy gave my son his ₦30,000 share.
Exactly 48 hours later, three police Hilux vans blocked our street.
They had tracked the account number used to receive a kidnapped victim's ransom. And it was traced straight to my house.
When the police jumped out with their guns, my son had already seen them from afar.
Do you know what this boy did? He turned around and ran away. He disappeared into thin air and left his widowed mother to face the fire.
The policemen entered my shop, grabbed me, and pushed me inside the back of their van.
I will never forget that embarrassment. The same neighbors who used to greet me with respect were standing far away, whispering and covering their mouths.
The police officers were shouting, "See her innocent face! You are their Mama Isale! You are the godmother keeping ransom money for kidnappers!"
I was just crying, swearing by Allah that I didn't know anything about it. They searched my room and found the ATM card. The evidence was complete.
I slept inside a police cell for days. A whole Alhaja like me, sitting on a cold floor smelling of urine, paying for a crime I knew absolutely nothing about.
It took the serious intervention of community leaders, lawyers, and the eventual confession of how the money was transferred to finally get me out on bail.
The pain wasn't even the police cell. The real pain that broke my heart was that the child I gave birth to with my womb, the same boy whose school fees I was saving inside that exact account, was the one who sold my life for just ₦30,000.
To every mother and father reading this: please pay very close attention to your teenagers. The love of quick, unexplained money is destroying our youth today. They want to wear the latest sneakers and buy iPhones, and they don't care if it puts their parents inside the grave.
And to everyone doing business: NEVER give your account number to a stranger to receive money, no matter how much they beg or cry. You do not know the blood attached to that money.
Have you ever entered serious trouble, or narrowly escaped one, just because you tried to help a stranger or trusted the wrong person?

You see that EASY TO NOTICE note up there, it's absolutely true. I have often said there is nothing like a woman setting a standard when it comes to a man she really loves. She will lower the standard to accommodate the man, especially if she is well grounded financially and otherwise. Most of these women only set standards when they don't find you attractive or don't love you.
ReplyDeleteI almost forgot today is Thursday. I thought it was Friday. I saw something on X that has got me laughing ever since then. Forget APC and Asiwaju, just get data and relax yourself.

"Do something today that your future self will thank you for."
A woman will easily submit to any man deserving of submission!

ReplyDeleteGOOD AFTERNOON MY SDK FAMILY ๐น
Hello ihn ๐ฅฐ
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon everyone andt how's your day going. Mine is going on smoothly by the grace of God.
That Alhaja's story is so sad and it reminds me of an encounter with someone few yrs ago. That was at the peak of kidnapping in kd. A strange number called me pretending to be an old friend, after exchanging pleasantries he said he longer stayed in KD and had relocated. That a friend wanted to buy a land in kd and needed someone to assist and that was when he remembered me. I said ok, I'll talk to some agents I know. Before you know it, this guy started disturbing me to send my account number so they can send the money even when no land has been found for sale. That was when I became suspicious and blocked him. That Alhaja's son didn't try at all.
The sign out meme is Apt ๐
Y'all enjoy the rest of your day.
E go surely be ✌๐ผ
Thank God you are smart enough to see through their gimmicks. Many people aren't that lucky. I have realized those who fall for it aren't even stupid. They are just unlucky or too trusting. And honestly, that's not a bad thing. The evil ones should be blamed.
DeleteYou resisted the urge for quick extra cash and that is good. Thank God for you ๐๐
DeleteLove of money money money is a serious problem
That boy deserves one day in Police cell to reset his brain. She the stress he put his mother through.
ReplyDeleteOne day you say?@ Vicky j....he deserves a month in guard room and better punishment.
DeleteWhat if his mom develop heart attack and died out of shock?
God abeg ooo!!
WE KEEP MOVING!!
Currently house hunting, I joined some estate agency groups and when I see house adverts that starts with "tastefully furnished, newly built, modern, renovated, sweet three bedroom flat, exquisite three bedroom flat, etc, I skip ๐๐คฃ
ReplyDeleteThose ones will shock my bank account, you will be seeing millions as rent.
If it's Abuja, selfcon will cost you 3m and above in town, and over a million in satellite town. I'm beginning to consider relocating to Lagos, I cannot struggle through they year, save and use it just for rent and the cost doubled and triple within last year and this year due to subsidy removal and economic crisis
DeletePardon my ignorance, but what is the economic value of Abuja that is making houses so expensive? Is it just because it is the capital city? What are the economic activities there compared to Lagos or even Port Harcourt that would make a self-contained apartment cost 3 million naira? Just a single room, for crying out loud.
Delete©️ TEEJAY
That is the reason some of us decided to stay in places like Nyanya, though rent is climbing and competing with town, but it is better.
DeleteIn all this, na the tiny kitchen dey pain me pass. Very very annoying.
DeleteHello beautiful people ๐
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon SDK and BVs.
ReplyDeleteGood day Stella and everyone.Nice write ups.
ReplyDeleteFinally...๐๐๐
