Kinda agree
ReplyDeleteHe's right, repeating unflattering comments,is the cause of many family's feud.
ReplyDeleteAnd vice versa . Very true. This is what is called wisdom. You might forgive your siblings but your spouse will never forgive or forget. Let he or she who have ears let them hear
ReplyDeleteI can relate but in my case it's not a family member ...
DeleteHe's actually right. It happened to me and I learnt from it as well. Although mine wasn't something I told my ex, she mistakenly overheard my sister talking to me about her on the phone over something she did very wrong. When I dropped the call, she spoke up and told me that unless I end up not getting married to her, she would so deal with my sister and mother. Even when I was trying to calm her down so we could sort things out, she vehemently refused and was shaking her head.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, that was how I aborted that mission. A threat like that shouldn't be joked with.
When she noticed my commitment had dropped, she told me she didn't mean any of those words she had said. How would I believe her? Spoken words are powerful and the damage they cause most times can't be undone.
Aside from her temperamental issue, she's such a lovely woman and the best among the women I dated. Very sincere, industrious and caring. She can destroy something this minute and be apologizing the next minute. Sometimes, love is just never enough. Very pretty lady. I talked about her here sometime ago. She was married but unfortunately divorced after one year.

Is her birthday in July or august?
DeleteWhat about the wife that talks about her in laws negatively and even told her own siblings and co wife that she doesn’t want her in laws in her house?
ReplyDeleteThe thing is if you see your in law as family, there won’t be reason to talk negatively about them.
Then caution your wife. Telling your in-laws what she said is to what end?.
DeleteMy sister in law talked about me negatively to my brother and I heard about it. The thing is, she has done it before with a different sibling and he took her side and even fought with her to please his wife so she thought it applied to me too but Instead he corrected her never to talk about me like that to him again. That he trusts me so much and knows what I can do and not do. To think I thought she was my friend. I spoilt her was always buying her things, she would see anything she liked in my house and I would tell her to take It without hesitation but it turned out she didn't want any in laws visiting them. She never really liked us but only what she was getting from us.
DeleteHis reaction and how he defended me shocked her and she couldn't take it that he corrected her so she kept malice with him. To the point I noticed and I was even trying to help them settle not knowing she was keeping malice because he refused to accept the bad report she gave him which was not even true at the end of the day. The whole thing blew up in the open and she got exposed. Since then I love her from afar.
Yes, it goes both ways!
ReplyDeleteI agree with him
