Do You Know?...

So I read something yesterday that a state in the US is bigger than the whole of Nigeria. I did a research and discovered that this particular state has 1.48 million km² compared to Nigeria's 0.92 million km²

Alaska!!!!

Yes, you read right, that's the name of the state. This is ridiculous. A single state bigger than a country believed to be the most populous Black nation in the world at large.

Alaska alone is about 1.6x bigger than the whole Nigeria.

However, this is where geography humbles us. Nigeria is very dense, Alaska is very empty. Nigeria has over 230 million people inside that 0.92m km². Alaska has less than 800,000 people inside 1.48m km². If Nigeria was as empty as Alaska, you for no see your neighbor. The US is just ridiculously large. The US as a whole is ∼9.8 million km² that's more than 10x Nigeria. Texas alone is ∼695k km², almost the size of Nigeria too. California is ∼424k km².

For me it is totally wrong
I believe that the house of God should be approached with reverence, humility and modesty.

Although I personally have earrings as a man, I have made a conscious decision never to wear them into the church. It is a personal conviction and a way of showing respect for the sacredness of God's house........

Isaiah 3:16–23 reminds us of how God rebuked the pride and excessive outward adornment of His people. Exodus 33:4–6 also shows the Israelites removing their ornaments when they heard God's displeasure following their disobedience.

My point is not to condemn anyone who wears jewellery, but to remind us that our relationship with God should be reflected in our attitude, appearance and conduct.

God deserves our reverence, not just our presence. Let us never allow outward appearance to take priority over spiritual purity and humility....
