There are some things my children do that make me wonder if I am raising two children or two very small comedians who have turned my house into their personal comedy stage.
Kimberly and Karisma (or Kim and Kaka for short) both have their own special brand of drama, but Kaka has a way of taking anything you say and acting it out in ways nobody asked for.

Recently, I was in the kitchen cooking. I always tell the girls to stay with me, so they were there “helping,” which really means playing instead of actually helping. They started playing rock, paper, scissors while I stepped out to the small balcony to sift crayfish. When I came back, they were still at it.
So I told them, “You people better thank God you have each other. Some families have just one child. If it was only one of you, how would you play rock, paper, scissors? Would you stand in front of the tiles and be doing it with your shadow?”
They laughed. I continued, “Or how would you stay alone in the house when I go out? Every day, you people should be grateful to God for each other, not all these small quarrels.”
I went back to my cooking.
Thirty seconds later, from the corner of my eye, I saw Kaka facing the kitchen wall.
Doing rock, paper, scissors With the tiles.
I shouted, “Kaka!” and burst into laughter. Kim fell on the kitchen floor laughing. I bent over holding my stomach. Kaka stood there, completely unbothered, as if she was fulfilling a divine assignment.
Her name, Karisma, is coined from charisma ; a word rooted in the Greek meaning gift or grace. In Christian usage, it is associated with a gift from the Holy Spirit and this child certainly has charisma in abundance.
People ask, “What is in a name?”
My answer? A lot.
