Uduaghan Under Pressure To Contest For Senate In 2015

A pressure group, Stabilizing Factors Campaign Organization, has asked Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State to contest Delta South Senatorial District seat in the 2015 general election.

At a press briefing in Warri on Saturday, members of the group, comprising the General Coordinator, Victor Agbateyiniro; Jolone Ikomi; and others, said after an extraordinary general meeting of the group on January 30, 2014, they decided to back the governor for the senatorial race.

The group, with Agbateyinro as spokesperson at the media briefing, said of the outcome of the meeting in Warri: "After a thorough consideration of the performance of Governor Uduaghan and his three-point agenda, a vote of confidence was passed on him for performing creditably well.

"The several awards and laurels won by the Governor is an eloquent testimony of how he has perfectly steered the ship of the Delta State well and to the admiration of all since assumption of office May 29, 2007.
"That with these awards and laurels won, Governor Uduaghan has not only made Delta state very proud, but has succeeded in building a stronger and more united PDP across the state.

"His achievements have dwarfed the opposition.

"That owing to the aforementioned, this organization hereby joins millions of Deltans and the people of Delta South Senatorial District at home and in the Diaspora to beg the governor to come and pick the Delta South Senatorial slot, since such hot seats are not meant for political neophyte, green horns, jobbers and hustlers."

  2. Under pressure indeed!

Same old story. Greedy people. They can't finish 8 years in government house and retire to enjoy their loot. Senate is the automatic retirement home of former governors. Shior.

Stella, tell your Governor I said so.

  5. He is not under any pressure, it is just that once they have tasted money they find it difficult to leave government. In Nigeria politics is the only way to make quick money since they go there to steal, by the grace of God all this their nonsense will soon stop wether they like it or not. Every day for the thief one day for the owner.

  10. Nigeria will remain static with people like Uduaghan in power. He is not a leader,he forced his way in. He knows what am saying. A true leader is a servant of the people.
