End Time Doctor

The Ogun state Police Command has said it has arrested a medical doctor, Emmanuel Ogah, who allegedly stabbed his biological mother to death for ‘insulting’ and ‘disgracing’ him in the presence of her apprentices.

According to a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the arrest was sequel to a complaint by the elder brother of the suspect, Cletus Ogah, who reported that his younger brother had stabbed their 62 year-old mother, one Janet Ogah, to death.

Following the complaint, the DPO of Itele Ota Divisional headquarters, CSP Lukman Raheem, led detectives to the scene at No 16, Ololade street, Lafenwa, Itele Ota , where the suspect was arrested.

Part of the statement reads: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, who has just finished his NYSC programme, came back home three days earlier and had been having issues with the deceased since then.

“In his statement, the suspect claimed that his mother was in the habit of insulting and disgracing him in the presence of her apprentices, and that frustrated him into taking her life,”

“The State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, for further investigation.”

The corpse of the deceased, a food vendor, has been deposited at the Ota General Hospital morgue, for autopsy.

    1. I heard he was abroad but was deported, hence the reason he has to come and serve(NYSC) at his advanced age. His mum signed some papers for him to be taken to a mental institution,i think that angered him even more. He is clearly mentally unstable.

  8. Its time mothers know that the way we speak to our kids have effects on them.. I remember growing up seeing my mum insult my 2 elder sis and that really affected the way I felt about her negatively. Even the bible said parents do not provoke your children to anger.. Anger is a terrible thing. It can turn a gentle person into a beast..
Pls let's all be careful with our words... Have a splendid Sunday Bvs.

    1. I agree with you on the way we speak to our kids or people around you bcos of the emotional scar it cause BUT that is no excuse for taking one's life. The way people get angry nowadays and just kill baffles me o, no human feeling at all, even God that is suppose to be angry with us is merciful towards us and WE humans can't be merciful to others. I keep saying it, don't act base on anger, if you are angry, take a WALK.

  9. If you watched the video of the crime scene one would know that the guy has mental health issues, he was granting interview with his blood stained clothe , spoke eloquently and appeared unperturbed, mental health illness is real, people should stop being spiritual about it but rather seek help, drugs of not more than 300 naira per day keeps them calm and manageable , with good support system ...

    1. Wait! I saw that video yesterday. Did I just read here that he is a corper, he looks way too old. Yes, mental illness is real, he wasn't managed properly. That huge guy on black and black couldn't control himself, he was just weeping and shouting, his elder bro I presume.
      Smh...this life.

    1. What is this one saying? I'm sure you are another one of those born throwaway kids. Regardless of how your parent humiliate you, you don't disembowel them. You can park your shit and leave their house, fend for yourself, avoid them if necessary.

  13. They really pushed him to his downfall. A mother that gave birth to you, trained you in school. Old boy you are finished

  14. Well, the Bible does warn parents not to provoke their children to anger. When anger compounds it leads to extreme acts of agression. It is important for us all to speak kind words and exhibit kind actions in our interactions with each other.
