LORD HAVE MERCY....
Another warehouse fully packed with expired drugs has been busted when Nigerians are still mourning the death of gospel musician Eric's death from expired malaria drugs..
The Standards Organisation of Nigeria has arrested a cosmetics
and wine importer suspected of changing the expiry dates on products and putting new dates on them to mislead buyers, Punch.ng reports.
The importer, Mr. Joseph Udeh, owner of Jouf Nigeria Limited, located at No. 10 Faith Street, off Comfort Oboh Street, Kirikiri Road, Apapa, Lagos, is said to be a major dealer in popular cosmetics and home product brands. .
He converted two four-storey residential buildings, each containing eight rooms into storage facilities for products. A closer look at some of the cosmetics revealed varying expiry dates, some dating as far back as 2004 while some had expired in 2013 and some in 2016. .
Udeh whose shop is located at Balogun Market, Trade Fair complex, said he was a supplier to major retail outlets and some of the major department stores in Nigeria. .
Addressing journalists shortly after the operation, the Head, Inspectorate and Compliance, SON, Mr. , said the importer would face the full wrath of the law. .
“The volume of the goods that expired is inestimable. Imagine a
product that should be used in wrapping up a baby in 2017 has
expired in 2015, what will be the effect on the baby, of course it
would be negative reaction on the baby. .
We have baby powders that have expired since 2013 and four years after, the products are still going into the market.
When they sell, they remove the expiry dates and put new dates to deceive the unsuspecting consumers and when you buy these products, you think they are products that can help you, not knowing that they are products that would cause you all sorts of diseases.” .
According to the SON official, many innocent people suffer without knowing the root causes of their illnesses, maintaining that the importer of these expired products are killing and robbing innocent.
This is wickedness. Lord have mercy.
ReplyDeleteTo think that I go to Jouf Plaza in the Trade Fair to buy cosmetics (soaps and cream) in order to avoid expired and fake products.

ReplyDeleteLord have mercy. How do this people sleep at night.
ReplyDeleteOluwa ese, some people are just wicked, its just about making money not minding the implication on the life of innocent Nigerians that will take it.
ReplyDeleteThe change just has to start from us as individual for a better Nigeria.
This is pure wickedness.
ReplyDeleteI know this company jouf. They are major importers of US,UK goods in which big supermarkets patronize. Most of us have bought this expired goods unknowingly. Hmm the evil that men do for money, only God can help us.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw th headline, I just knew it's my 'country man'. Some people are just heartless, doing anything for money even to the detriment of another human life. What happened to morals, contentment and hard work? I weep for human race.
ReplyDeleteAlways and ibo business man doing wicked things. Dirty people, I am sure this is fan emmanuel's husband. Where is that stupid Linda that lacks home training. Let her come and run her dirty mouth now. Dumb ibo criminals just as dumb as these men. Thank God he committed the crime in Lagos. Death penalty straight for the thousands he has killed. Plus seizure of all his properties.
ReplyDeleteIbo demon, most of them are occultist, why would human life mean anything to them
ReplyDeletehmmmm God help us all. just yesterday my dad bought drugs in a pharmacy, got home and took some of the drug before it occurred to him to chech the expiry date.the drugs expiry date was showing 2018 while the manufacturing date was showing 2011. this simply means that the drugs are actually expired but the date was temeperd with. looking closely at the date he realized that 2013 was actually change d to 2018. I'm saying this for us all to be careful apart from checking for expiry date we should also be interested in the authenticity of the drugs,it can be fake too even with a good expiry date.
ReplyDeleteWhy are these biafrans so wicked like this.
ReplyDeleteThey will do just about anything for money. Tueh
I can't see fan-belt Emmanuel comment here. Wicked people
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteLord have mercy. Imagine the lives this man would have taken or destroyed through this his wicked acts.
DeleteLord have mercy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a murderer?!
ππ
This is one reason why all these so called 'Big men' and their family fly abroad when sick even when they are also involved in the expired drugs stuff cos they know the 'WAYO' they are into.
ReplyDeleteExpired drug almost killed me some time ago.
The sad thing about all these is that B/4 you say 'Jack' this case would have been swept under the carpet
#saynotoexpiredandfakedrugs#Itcouldbemeoryouoryourfamilymember.
Na na na this is so absurd, too bad
ReplyDeleteWhen NAFDAC won't do their jobs and drugs are still being sold in open markets, when NDLEA folds their arms and watch, when SON are only interested in lining their pockets instead of doin a proper Audit and quality checks..things like this are bound to occur.
ReplyDeleteWicked soul. May his generation suffer from using expired drugs
ReplyDeleteWhy will somebody be so greedy and wicked like this? This one is a serial killer abeg.
ReplyDeleteIf they really want to do their work very well, they should go to Onitsha. That's where they change the dates on goods especially on medical consumables.
ReplyDeleteWicked people. My prayer for the people perpetrating this evil is that their loved ones will also take one of the expired things they sell, then they'll know how it feels destroying the lives of innocent people.
Thank God one has been bursted.
ReplyDeleteIf this isn't wickedness, what then is wickedness... ?
ReplyDeletePeople putting the lives of people in danger to make extra quick bucks without caring about the consumer.
Evil man, all in the name of money, you have killed innocent souls, may God punish his entire generation
ReplyDeleteJesussss. This is purr wickedness
ReplyDeleteJesussss. This is pure wickedness
ReplyDeleteAye o! He has offered esu adin. He must be punished!
ReplyDeleteLife imprisonment is best for him since he must have killed a lot of people with fake drugs! Read stories of Nigerians who died from expired medication. Why did his employees not report him as secret whistle blowers on time? Money? Should criminals like him not face a firing squad?
ReplyDeleteContinue to rest in peace Dora akuyinli, she fought this people well.Arent they scared of their family members using all this expired products?
ReplyDeleteOnly in Nigeria!
ReplyDeleteLord av Mercy!!!
Na God dey save person for this country walahi. Imagine this kind of wickedness?
