Names Of Lagos Luxury Apartment Owners At Address Where $50m Was Found By EFCC Revealed

SaharaReporters has obtained the full list of occupants of a swanky apartment building in Lagos where operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) found close to $50million last week.

The building, located at 16 Osborne Road in Ikoyi, has nine floors of 19 Apartments and two penthouses. It is owned by a former Peoples Democratic Party chairman, Ahmed Muazu, who retained for himself the penthouses, 10A and B; as well as Apartments 11A and 11B.

Since the raid became public, the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) has laid claim to the funds, its Director-General Ayodele Oke saying it was meant for covert operations authorized by President Goodluck Jonathan during his tenure. SaharaReporters, however, reported on Monday that the woman who was discreetly ferrying the money into the apartment in bags was Mr. Oke’s wife, Folashade.

According to the apartment ownership list obtained by SaharaReporters, other owners include a former Guaranty Trust Bank chairman, Fola Adeola, who owns Apartment 1A, and former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi and his wife, who own Apartment 1B.

8B - Mr. Balogun

Typical mentally lazy anonymous 10:08am. What is sentimental about this? Where is the doubt & disbelief coming from? Do you know how to read & reason? Has any of them denied ownership or even tenancy?

If you wanna insult Stella don't hide under Sahara Reporters. You're a spineless AND brainless coward, you should be living in North Korea or Iran. Instead of joining an intellectual discourse to find a way out of the mess our leaders past & present put us you go about doing candy-assed mud slinging with your 10mb data.

  6. who owns the money is not important. whats important is returning the money. haba that money is just too much.
NIA as an agency should be ashamed of itself. how will can they claim ownership of the money. if the money is truly theirs what is it doing outside CBN? so all other agencies are given cash. please they should stop deceiving us we are not kids.

  7. This is just very wrong and I hope these people know their rights enough to sue.
How can you publish their addresses because money was found at an apartment not theirs.
EFCC should stop the hanky panky, they know the person that owns the money.

    3. This isn't journalism. This is highly unethical. What if they get robbed. What if people start harassing the place. There is a solid line to be drawn here between looking for accountability and invading someone's privacy. Unfortunately, when we don't speak up when it's done against others, we lose the right to complain when it's done to you. When SR released a list of senators personal phone nos no one said nothing so here they should swallow it too. Tomorrow, it will be you! DontEverPlayYourself

  14. Does Amechi need to be a tenant in the house for him to be the owner of the money?. In Nigeria, the more you look, the less you see. In as much he is innocent until proven guilty, hiding money in another person's apartment as a cover is possible.

  23. what a biased investigation!! APC by now ought to know that Nigerians are no longer gullible and dull!! Why publish the names of the other apartment owners when the funds wasn't discovered in their apartment?! Since when did it become a crime to own an apartment/house in the country?. That money out-rightly belongs to Amechi but of-course as an APC chieftain, EFCC is doing damage control by doing their possible best to manipulate the "obvious truth" by implicating the unaffected!!

we all know the reason for the apartment owner's names being published is strictly to soil Peter Obi's reputable reputation because of his intentions to run for presidential election ahead of 2019.

in my opinion, Sahara reporters and EFCC are scallywags
