Hello Stella, this is your number 1 Ghanaian Fan. By God's Grace I was delivered of a baby boy on Sunday, 18th February, 2018. I'm still learning how to take care of him and motherhood in general. This was how my Labour Room Drama went.
I'm sure you remember my testimony about how I conceived by God's Grace. I carried my pregnancy with 100% care. When I was 11 weeks pregnant, I had the scare of my life! I was bleeding accompanied with pains and was hospitalised for 4 days due to fibroids (which I had no knowledge of prior to the pregnancy), I thought I had lost it. After that I was practically walking on eggshells the whole nine months.
Fast forward to 9 months, I was in bed at 5am on Saturday, 17th February when I saw the show with minor pains. I was beyond happy because I was tired of being pregnant and couldn't wait to see my son. I went to the office to do my handing over notes and went to the salon to get my nails done (I wanted to look good at the labour ward). I called my doctor and she told me to visit the hospital when the pains became unbearable.
I couldn't sleep the whole of Saturday night and went to the hospital with my mom on Sunday morning at 8 (after doing my eyebrows and putting on lipstick).
I was checked and informed that I was 4cm dilated, the midwives were surprised I had makeup on. I called my husband to come to the hospital (he told the midwife to take me to the VIP ward, he wants privacy and doesn't want his son to share a ward with anyone, lol).
My doctors came to check on me around 10am and said the contractions were strong and I had dilated to 6cm so I'd deliver by 1pm. By 3pm I had not delivered, my husband had come to join my mom. My son's heartbeat was checked and the midwife said it was dropping so I was given oxygen to help. My doctors came around and I was still 6cm. They prescribed some medicine for hubby to buy, I was left alone and I prayed, told God that He blessed us with the baby so whichever way he'll get him out safely, He should intervene.

The contractions stopped and I slept. An hour later one painful contraction woke me up, hubby was the only one with me. I got off the bed and tried to pee, then he screamed that he could see the baby's head. He went out to call the midwives but none was around. He then saw one midwife passing and dragged her to my room. I pushed once, and my husband and the midwife delivered the baby at 4:13pm. I was overwhelmed with different emotions and started crying (meanwhile I didn't cry the entire time I was in labour, I even took selfies).
Hubby kissed me and said, "you have done well". I had one small tear and episiotomy was done. It was super painful! (Story for another day). We were discharged the next morning. May God bless every woman praying for a baby to also experience this, Amen!
Attached is one of my maternity photos and my cute baby boy. Will send you the Omugo story later.
