I was thinking this the other day. It must be because Nigerians pick winners based on their sob story and the background those sob stories emanate from does not allow them a good education on financial planning. So this money is squandered and not invested . One of the most recent winners exhibits a lot of gutter behaviour so it only represents the kind of society Nigeria is. These are the people they give the prize money to
ReplyDeleteI want to know too
ReplyDeleteWhich of the winners look broke though?
ReplyDeleteWho are the 'many of them'???
ReplyDeleteIt is more about financial intelligence. History is filled with people who won lottery and still went broke after a few years. Once you don't know how to behave with money, no matter how much they give you, you would lose it.
ReplyDeleteThe average person thinks money is meant to be spent. That's a terrible way to live. Was discussing with my audience on WhatsApp the other day of how two people would start business. One. From just provision. Biscuit and groundnut on their front porch and within 2/3 yrs they have moved into a supermarket. Compared to the other you would put 15 million Naira into her fashion brand and two years later, it would look as though you never did invested in her business. The Common denominator wasn't necessarily in the kind of business they were doing but their attitude towards money. That's the koko. 📌
ReplyDeletePlease I would recommend for anyone here, especially as a lady to read Smart money woman and smart money tribe. Arese Ugwu. She explain more of these things there. The main answer to the question of this guy are buried there. I remembered how Zuri met Tsola and she was telling him how broke she was and how urgent she needed a car. Instead of him to buy him the car just to impress and possibly smash and win her over. He started giving her advice. Bought her a money journal and was showing her how to save so she could buy the car herself from the income she would be making. God bless Arese.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious too.
