God's Miracles Are Not For Sale - Should A Pastor Mandate You To 'Pay' For Prayers?

This is a very dicey situation and i do not like to judge men of God but the truth is that these are the end times and all manner of men will come in the name of God but are not of God....how does one spot a man of God?by what he says or by what he does?

Is it right for a man of God to make you promise his ministry something financial before he blesses you?
Some things that some men of God do are so unbelieve-able able that when the ears hear the mouth opens in fright!

''Stella, please help a friend out,i am in a confused situation right now. my question is ….is it right for a pastor to ask you to buy something worth about N60k plus when you also vow to GOD to give to his ministry if you get that breakthrough that you are searching for?

My story goes like this..i was in a situation where my relatives had to sought the help of this pastor in prayers, and i was told the man ask me to call him so he could hear from me,my dear Sdkers ,i call the pastor and he begin to question me and so on ,well to cut it short he said his reasons of longing to hear from me is because i have to promise GOD,what i will be able to do if i get my said breakthrough.

I told him i  Will give a specified amount to his ministry,he asked again and i told him the same amount, the next thing, the pastor said was that i have to send or ask my relatives to buy something worth N60k for the church before the prayers will commerce from there.

After the whole conversation i sat down and start thinking if this was normal or not.please what do you guys think?''

  1. When una go dey waka waka from one ministry to another, one prophet to another, one white garment church to another, why won't you encounter all sorts? Can't you kneel and pray to God on your own? Or the prayers said in your own church no reach?
If you believe in jumping from spiritualists to spiritualists in times of trouble, then you can as well visit Babalawos cus its all the same mentality and none of their services are for free!

    1. Is we human beings dat likes to confuse ourselves although I realy dnt blame us cos of d Things we hear abt. 'Men of God' this days.
Hunnay, listen there are different ways God uses to hear and answer our prayer, okk let me share this true life testimony with u, a particular woman a nurse ind USA made a mistake gave a white woman overdose and she died, u know what that means, the trouble was much, back home someone introduced her to a prophet, they talked on phone the prophet prayed and God told him that the woman should pay to him her tithes for 3months, a nurse in the US do u knw aw much she wll be earning hence the huge money she Will av to pay to the pastor, if she had doubted d man of God nd dint Pay it who knws wat might Av happened, she payed the tithe first month,2nd and 3rd. To cut the long story short, the woman was found not guilty and freed, u know wat dt means...God told the man of God to tell her for paying tithe she's not Guilty in heaven and on earth, she ws happy surprised, marveled, something that seemed impossible, am telling u she asked the man he shld say wateva he wants he wil buy it for him, she bought the man of God a brand new car....
Well so many people will say many things that why can't u pray ursef, bla bla isn't it suppose to be free, wish I could write the full story but lemme indulge u why not do it first and see what will come out of it, dnt let ur faith be disrupted by all news abt men of God lately, there are still very real ones....#My opinion
      Bless up dear!

    2. Mba9 you are right my dear.
I find it very funny when I see people jumping from one church to another because they have a problem. What happened to your own church? Is God not there?
What happened to your knees and mouth? Can't you pray to God by yourself? Must you jump from one pastor to the other in search of sharp sharp miracles? Hian!

All my life,I have never gone to any pastor to pray for me or see vision for me. I pray to God by myself.
As a staunch Catholic, I visit the blessed sacrament and talk with my Jesus #SoRefreshing.
I say my rosary,I do novena and book mass, and go for confession, that's all. So far, my God has never disappointed me and I have faith that he never will.

Poster I can't answer you and I cannot judge the pastor either because I don't know how pastors operate. I have no business with them and will never have in Jesus name, Amen.

I know my recent haters will want to kill themselves because of my comment...do so with all pleasure.
      I no send.

    7. This is just insane! Imagine, we have turned God's ministry into money doubling tinz!. "Give us some money and you'll see what God will do". This is just a scam for crying out loud.
Can we honestly say to ourselves that 2000 years ago, Jesus would do this to people that needed His Help??!
Salvation is FREE!! I cannot simply believe the comments on here. Someone even mentioned a pastor negotiating the price! Did Jesus tell the woman with the issue of blood to give him money before she could be healed?!
Honestly, the sooner we learn that we can go to God ourselves and not depend on someone more "holy" to intercede on our behalf, the better we'll be at understanding His purpose for our lives.

    1. Well my dear it varies. It is just sad that the fakes have diluted the potency of striking a grounded covenant with God. However, there's a great efficacy attached to when u want something from God, and u promise in return to bless ur church, pastor, or his ministry with something tangible in appreciation.

Perhaps this is what the poster's pastor is trying to achieve. Only it is wrong to refuse to bless someone because they have not promised a grand 'price' in return. That is NOT of God.

What If u do not have the wherewithal to do so? Would u be refused prayers??

Poster, the best covenant u can ever make is that which u make with God yourself from the genuine corner of ur heart. And afterwards it is imperative that u fulfil your side of it...because it is even more costly to u if u refuse to establish anything u promise God. Your conscience will elude peace..that is if u have one.

There is liberty in christiandom. And as such deliverance and salvation is FREE. I study the Devil and his agents as much as i study Jesus Christ and His apostles. Doing this has enlightened my spiritual perspective to be able to distinguish btw the men of God and the men of the Devil.

For instance, if u visit a herbalist to heal u of leprosy, after he has healed u he will not collect money for the job. Why? Its been said that anyone who gets paid for healing such diseases are often hit by it after they get paid for it..(according to traditionalists). However, the herbalist may encourage u to come at a later time to bless him with whatever gift u deem fit. That is the devil's diplomacy.

As for a genuine man of God. Yes it is advised that u bless a man of God with an offering when he prays for u. As most are full time pastors and they have to make a living somehow. Only the fakes have abused this privilege, hence the confusion today. You can bless ur pastor and make a covenant with God on ur own without ur pastor's knowledge. It simply means u want to pull God's blessings upon ur life in double folds. No more no less.

Finally no pastor should make u feel indebted to him or his church no matter what. He should do his bit and allow God do His too without giving u the guilt trip. And there should be no specific naira figure attached to any prayers abeg. My opinion.

  7. Hmmm, Stella I personally try not to get into arguments on things of the spirit. My opinion here is simple tho. We all have the spirit of God inside of us. If God leads you to sow, then sow. But if you are not led, then don't sow cos there's no reward when you sow unwillingly. The Shunamite woman gave all she had to Elisha because she was convinced within her to sow and she got her reward in due season. And the bible makes it clear that God loves a CHEERFUL giver meaning it must flow from your heart.
All the same, I don't think its right for the pastor to make it a condition precedence to getting prayers. Its okay to sow a thank you seed after God has blessed you, but to DEMAND for it in lieu of prayers... that one get as e be...

  8. I'm surprised you had to think about it. Ofcourse it's a scam. How much did Jesus collect before dying for our sins? Sometimes I can't understand why ppl are so bent on pastors praying for them before they receive a miracle. Wetin do ur mouth? Jesus died for our sins that we may have direct access to God. Sometimes I think we as humans underestimate God's grace. Pls keep ur money, get down on ur knees with a clean and expectant heart and talk to ur God.

    1. Jesus died for our sins yeah but it wasn't free. He paid a price! If you don't understand, ask the Holy Ghost to explain it to you. All these self-righteous religious pricks.
You can get down on your knees and pray but you also need a spiritual head or covering. That's why Jesus ordained Pastors, evangelists and the rest.
When these same people look so haggard and poor, it's still your kind of people that'll run to the rich churches.

  15. Hmmmmm its a ministry my dear, every Pastor is blessed with his own gifts from God, if you can afford it my dear, please give the 60k but what matters most is the FAITH you have to believe that whatever the situation is, it is gone, some people play intelligence and smartness with God when it comes to giving and sowing seeds just because they don't trust the Pastor, its not the pastor's instructions its God,seeds are very important, some ministries used their interceed on a particular problem,if your pastor says give this and you can afford it, please give but its not unto him you give, but unto God, but if you can't afford it and if he still insists RUN!

  17. Only thieves and fake pastors will ask you to pay or bring items before receiving breakthrough. some even claim they will fast on one's behalf.... sounds absurd
God Himself does not demand a dime from us before we receive breakthroughs (ofe nigbala, ofe niwosan) so who the hell is a pastor who is just a human being like me?
However people can decide to make vows on their own not necessarily being forced by any pastor

  31. lets not get it twisted, sometimes sowing a seed can provoke a blessing for you.....however most times it is you the individual God will ask to give a specific amount...yes God sometimes ask to give a specific amount but a true man of God will never tell you to pay before they pray.....if you make a vow and u dont pay it is with u and God.. his business is to pray with you and God does the rest

Christ never did it.....his followers shouldn't
Freely ye have recieved therefore FREELY should you give.
Peter in the acts of the apostles asked someone who offered cash in exchange for the gift of miracles to PERISH with his money!

  37. I remember the story of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath. The woman had just enough to make a last meal for herself and her son so they eat and die, beofre Elijah came and asked her to make food out of that remnant for him first before either her or her son.
And it's interesting to know that it was God that directed Elijah to go to that place/city in the midst of drought, that He had had directed a widow (the same broke ass and no food one) to supply his needs. It's all in 1 Kings 17:7-16.

My dear ehn, pray and let God's Spirit speak to your heart and lead you on what to do. If your mind is not at peace about it, then don't give him.

Naija people and turning our Loving and Merciful Father into an oracle. You jump around for solutions when there is a solution readily available to you. We are so lazy, we believe if you do not go through someone nothing will get accomplished. We do it in the workplace, we do it in Church. "Ah go to that powerful man of God and he will pray for you to get husband". Two years later, the husband is clubbering you to death and sleeping with the whole of Enugu. Abeg make all of you park well. Aunty OP, please pay the 60k since you do not know what to do with money. Don't get on your knees and truly seek God for help. I am not talking the one that the anon said about live right for 7 days and you will see a miracle (lol, you think God can be fooled), I am talking really search the Word and you will get your help.
