Robbers Terrorise Mushin - Raped,Stole And Destroyed ...

There were fears and tension in the Mushin area of Lagos State on Monday morning after about 60 robbers operated on no fewer than eight streets and destroyed about 30 vehicles.
Some residents told punch that the robbers also raped some young ladies and operated unchallenged for about seven hours.

The hoodlums, who reportedly belonged to two cult groups – Akala boys and Toheeb’s gang – ravaged New Balogun, Euba, Ayonuga, Tiamiyu, Haruna, Ereko, Oyedele streets and Coker Lane.
A mosque on Coker Lane was not spared as the worshippers, who slept in the mosque after a vigil, were robbed by the hoodlums.
One of the people in the mosque said that the robbers fired bullets for over one hour before robbing from house-to-house.
He said, “It was around 12am on Monday morning that we started hearing gunshots. It lasted for about an hour.
“Around 1am, they started going from house-to-house, robbing the occupants. They stole about seven laptops from the house opposite this mosque. They stole phones, money and everything they saw. They came inside the mosque and took our phones and money. People were crying throughout the night. It was terrible.”
Another witness said the robbers were not in a haste. He said they robbed till 5am and came back at 6am to continue before leaving around 7am.

Punch contacted The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Ngozi Braide, said she would call back, but she had yet to do so as of press time.

Father grant my heart desires o!!! I can not wait to leave all these behind me!!!

  4. Why are they calling the police for comments, robbers operated for about 6 hours, police no show and you are calling them for what??? As far as I am concerned, we don't have police men in Nigeria, what we have are just men in black looking for who to oppress.. shior

    1. I think the DPO of that zone should be queried. I don't see what these men are doing in the name of policing. Can you imagine the robbers had a field day robbing citizens and even had the guts to come back in broad daylight. And yet no help. And I know there is one police station by that mushin. What they know is how to be collecting 20.00 and 50.00 from innocent motorists. Same as the case of the drunk policeman dat wrestled a woman in the mud since last year. Just cos the video went viral recently, Ngozi and co have suddenly woken up from their slumber! This is really a sad situation and next thing we will cal GEJ. Meanwhile people are paid to do their work but alas!! God help this country. I tire for this country no be small.

  5. I heard it too from fadeyi where I'm residing, it was terrible. Even now things 're not settled, some ppl have nt opened their shops, infact it's now a regular thing, they do it at least once in two months. If u cal d police, they'll manage 2 come bt when they do, they'll join d hoodlums in consuming marijauna, afterwards they'll resort 2 arresting innocent young boys going on their own. D police know these boys.

  9. Mushin is the worst place in lagos when it comes to security, that part of lagos breed robbers, most robbers that rob at the island come from mushin you will be shocked when you see well dress huge men with big tummy like Nigeria (Bigmen's tummy) robbing flashy cars, my brother's phone was found at mushin after robbery incident at lekki. Mushin,Ajaoestate, dopumu, badagary, surulere are flash points for Lagos robbers Nigeria police are aware of this areas but prefer 20naira note from bus drivers. They run to incident when is late, i thought this people has helicopter what happen to it? at least that will help combat crimes

    1. But Jay, the amazing thing is that those areas are the places thieves do not visit, unlike the quiet areas. As pple say thieves know themselves and are territorial. Just like Lagos island, a thief who goes there to robbery will not make it out alive. They have caucus and they don't touch certain areas. If u are robbed in Lagos island and u know any of the area boys personally, once u tell them they'll ensure that u get ur stuff back. If u just mention the exact area the robbery took place, they know whom to face. So am surprised that Mushin of all places, where the real touts emanate from, can be robbed for hours without restrictions from the Mushin breeds. Its amazing

  10. The ikeja army cantoment and d airforce base isn't far from mushin, if only they could come to the rescue of d residents and deal with d thieves mercilessly

Nigerian police now believe their job only entails d good part of collecting brides and intimidating d citizens
, instead of protecting lives. I doubt these generation of police go through any form of orientation or training, bunchs of drunkards

If only d military will just take over nigeria, enough of d senseless civilian rule!

  11. It's so sad,my boss' secretary lives there and he recounted his ordeal.
Robbers operated for hours and no law enforcement restrained them.
Some people will soon say we should pray for Nigeria, indeed!

God,please hear my cry and fulfil my heart desires,IJN,Amen
