Onajite Otiotio Onome RIP.

Onajite Otiotio Onome the beautiful lady whose picture you are looking at died on Friday night at Saint Georges memorial hospital Lekki 1.

She had waited for over 10years and God answered her prayers blessing her with the twins she was carrying before she died...

According to her blog visitor friend who sent this in ''when she got to hospital yesterday night, there was no Doctor to attend to her and the only Doctor present was a recent graduate in the big expensive hospital. They made calls to other Doctors but none turned up.

She kept crying that she could not breath but there was no one to attend to her and that was how she died..''

RIP Onajite Otiotio Onome.

  1. Omg. That's why I always pray for God's will to be done in my life, cos sometimes what we request for is not actually his will for our lives. RIP beautiful lady. May God give the family d fortitude to bear such a loss. Hope d children survived... #sad much#

    1. RIP beautiful one, actually true. If u kp on pestering God 4 a car when his actual time 4 u to own that car is not ripe, he won't gv u except u go extra mile to get it without waiting 4 God's time. God knows if he gvs u dt car now it might end ur life by way of accident or it might just cause u some harm. BTW doctors only know how to go on strike they no longer take their oath to save lives seriously.

She had to register there for her ante natal cos she and the hubby believed the hospital is good enough. They didn't care about the fact that it's too expensive, they just wanted to have the babies safely cos they have gone tru alot in the hands of family members all in the sake of childlessness

In America and many advanced countries, maternal mortality is almost zero% meaning that nobody really dies, i've never heard of it since I've been here and if it ever happens, some ppl will be sacked, sued, jailed and even d hospital may be closed. 48. Most of them are incompetent and that is the gospel truth, you go to the hospital, complain of certain symptoms, the mumu doctors won't run tests on you, they assume you have malaria or typhoid and load you with drugs.

I am not a doctor but I know for a fact that experience counts on the job, you put a fresh graduate there and if faced with a complex situation, he/she may not know what to do.

That was how we rushed a Patient with a gun shot injury and the doctor started crying, a male doctor oh, he said he couldn't handle it only to go to Almightty Eko hospital, they charged the hell out of us and what did they do? They overdosed him with anathestics .

Inasmuch as I concede that sometimes mistakes do happen, I find some of these doctors so irritating cuz they are so money conscious, they charge you crazily and sadly they can't even deliver.

    Sorry for of my epistle!!
Back to narrate my ordeal in a doctors hand.

  50. The same thing happened to my friend; after 3 years of waiting on the Lord, it was only a resident doctor available during her time of delivery. The very pretty baby died first before my friend died. God help us in naija. No wonder people are trooping out of the country to give birth. Don't get me wrong anyone can die anywhereirrespective of the country but guess what? Naija's health care system is appalling! RIP Onome.

  51. In complicated pregnancies such as her case , is better to register in a teaching hospital or better still have a specialist( o and g), Nigeria economy is bad and most private hospital have only one doctor on call..I dont know about other teaching hospitals o but in uch pregnant women have their consultants numbers and you can call them and they pick up...I registered for my antenatal and delivered my two children there...God help us...Mothers please be aggressive with your care during pregnancy...they should have taken her to another hospital and quickly prep for cs...God help us

Almost 0% maternal mortality rate, so no need to be scared. They value life and will treat u like egg. In naija many nurses and doctors be like frustrated witches, plus a child with American passport as a citizen, d benefits are uncountable including no visa to many countries of d world, with special privilegedes every where they go. Jite got to the hospital some minutes past 9pm and the only doctor on call was a young GP who didnt have a clue about jite situation, she was on the phone with owner of the hospital, who was telling her what to do and she and the two nurses on duty kept assuring jite and her hubby that the doctor was on his way to the hospital, but the doctor did not get to his hospital till about 11:30pm.
By that time it was too late, my dear friend was already too weak, short of breath and was in shock. She and her babies passed on to be with the lord some minutes to midnight.
Nobody deserves to die like this, jitr least of all.......she was a good woman, she loved the lord, she was a good sister, she was a good aunty, she knew something about everything, she was my friend and my sister.....I loved her, I will miss her deeply.
