#Friday bla bla bla.....

PROBLEM NUMBER ONE
PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS
Hello Docs, please I feel pregnant, as in all the symptoms complete, nausea, morning sickness, vomiting, tummy getting bigger et al‎, however, my periods have been regular and constant, in fact in December, the flow was extremely heavy. I've done blood pregnancy test which came out Negative, I did it 3ce and the result was all negative.
I did a scan which saw nothing but myoma which has been there like forever before I even had my 2 kids.

What could be the matter with me? Scan says no pregnancy, blood test says no pregnancy. Yet the symptoms and discomfort prevails. I'm not looking to having any more kids as I already have to with the youngest being 11months old. I am both worried and scared.

Is this normal?has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

AH!

PROBLEM TWO
SWOLLEN FEET AND CRAVING
I am expecting, it's my first and many different things just come up with one discomfort or the other.  I am not trying to complain o I am forever grateful to God for this baby.

I need help my feet are swollen for Africa and it's now very heavy and painful, tried all sorts recommend by the  Doctors especially salt reduction and always raising the legs when sitting and sleeping but it's still same old story. If there is anyone who can help with stuff that can help reduce it because even walking now is like hard work and I still have about 18 weeks to go.

Also I have been craving Lipton tea with no cream or sugar, is it safe? I know coffee isn't too good bit I am not sure about tea bag.

Stella don't sidon look for this matter o, I know you have experience so your input is welcome also. Thanks a lot

Every woman has different symptoms and no two pregnancies are alike.you just have to look for a way to deal with yours.
every time you sit down elevate your feet and do not take any drugs to reduce swelling. If it gets worse see your doctor to check if there is a problem.

My symptoms during preggy was horrible. My nose ballooned 100 times,I lost my beautiful skin tone,my hair grew like a forest and i was spitting about two bucketful everyday.spitting as in pouring
out like a water fall oh.

Someone probably has shared your symptoms and will help you with tips,Good luck with the preggy.

      Goodluck!

    7. And just to add, lipton isn't bad if u crave it, just use 1 teabag, most pregnant ladies take it to reduce d size of their baby, but since urs is smetin u crave for, u can take it in little quantity!

    1. Babes, is oedema the same as pre eclampsia??...her symptoms are just like my friend's. It was so bad, they had no choice but to do a c section to take the baby out way before her due date. Poster 2, you need to have your blood pressure taken to check how high it is. Pre eclampsia is deadly (sorry to scare you) so see your GP right away. Tea bags are okay (well, that's what my midwife said and in the new mum packs they give, there is always a satchet of tea bags so no worries about that one)I had a cup of PGtips everyday.

    2. Its not all swollen feet that is oedema, some women just tend to have very swollen feet during pregnancy, @d same time bloglord might be right. Poster hope u check ur blood pressure regularly? That should be ur number 1 concern, if ur blood pressure is fine n ur protein (in urine) level is fine u ve nothing to worry about, but if these two are not ok, u need special attention, like being admitted in the hospital immediately, good luck dear, remember to pray always. I'm also expecting, it takes God only God.

    4. BL how far na? So Esah is a male? I didn't know o, your comment in IHN is how I know. Interesting. Anyway please let the issue slide you hear. You know why? I usually do not ask anyone who's angry to stop, cos i also like to go all out when I'm upset. But I don't see Esah as one who's troublesome here. I may be wrong but that's just my observation. U hear love? E don do pele.

Genny baby oo Genny baby ooo Jenifaaaa... make I sing small for you. lol. I dey look for you o. Ehn ehn, you know you always tell me to leave matters when I go on and on too, and I always listen to you out of respect because not many will take time out to address issues here, rather they'll read on and enjoy the fracas for however long it lasts. I know it's interesting when you are not the one in the boxing ring, to read and entertain yourself. But for you my dear, I can't look the other way.

Yes I'm talking about Bitchplis. Genny the guy don apologise tire. I beg you to let it slide. There's nothing anyone here can do about it, we can't undo his blunder. If he was non apologetic I would be worried. But apologising excessively shows he's sorry, shows he holds people here in high esteem, and that should settle it. Please don't make an enemy of him. By now you should have mastered the character of every moniker here...Bitchplis is a free and funny dude and I love reading his comments but never take him serious. It's part of the fun.

I also condemned him for the gist that he gave that has now boomeranged... let it go darling ok? I trust he will not try it again now that he understands the moral implication.

    1. She doesn't have to wait to have headache before going to the hospital. Just go there and have your Bp checked and a urinalysis to check for protein in urine. Pre eclampsia starts, after 20 weeks, it might be in its early state. If however urine is negative for protein and your Bp is fine, then there's nothing to be worried about

  43. Poster 1, if this was your first pregnancy now, I'd say it's your mind playing tricks on you as you're very expectant, hence the symptoms you're experiencing. As it is now, Sis, I'd recommend that you go to a different hospital and run a full hormonal assay.2nd &3rd opinions are usually best sought in medical cases. What eludes one doctor, would most likely be picked by another.
If after all that, and your hormonal levels are still found to be normal, then you've got to work on your mind. Tell your body it's not pregnant and should STOP acting pregnant.
Btw, pray about it too. Not like it's something serious or your life is on the line, but it's discomforting you nau and there's nothing too small we can't talk to God about. Cheers.

Poster 2, don't let people deceive you o. Edema is NOT normal in pregnancy. The fact that it commonly occurs in pregnant women does not mean it is normal. It's my line, I know what I'm talking about. Please ur gynae.
    Btw, congrats on your pregnancy.

    ReplyDelete
  44. POster 2: Just make sure that your Gynae is on top of the issue. Have your blood pressure checked and all that.
    Have a safe delivery soonest.

Poster 1: Maybe you should see another doctor. I don't know.

  45. Yes please do not take caffeine. It's highly present in coffee. And like 4mg of it is in lipton too. It's minimal in lipton, hence you can take it once in a while if you feel like (except if u have a high BP alrdy) but it's not something you should crave as such as such if you can help it.

Caffeine is a stimulant. It improves mental alertness and help one stay awake but comes with its side effects too like increase of BP, dependence (addiction) etc.

Physiologically, pregnancy slightly increases the BP at some point, so why double the effect wt caffeine.

    ReplyDelete
  46. @ no 1 I have no idea whats wrong with you. Hang in there you will be fine. As far as the doctors and scans say you are not pregnant, I think you should just relax.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Poster 2: please monitor your BP and exercise more, if you are pregnant with multiple babies, it could also explain your extreme symptoms. See your doctor and follow his advice religiously, don't worry you will soon birth your bundle of joy.
BTW...So i went to the hospital yesterday for a routine check up, heard from the nurses that a patient just put to bed, na so I rush go look new baby. Awwww! There is nothing more adorable than a new born baby, he looked so cute, innocent and adorable. I even asked the mom to dash me...lol

  56. #1:In own my case,i was pregnant and still mensurating.pregnant test came out negative, scan said empty sac and yet the pregnancy signs were overwhelming.i only decided to sit back and watch events unfold.
5months after,i felt him move.i went for scan and it was empty sac still.i wanted to lose faith and believe in the doctors report but i had a dream where i saw myself trying to do some exercise but noticed that i had this pain in my abdomen that could only be pregnancy,i woke up and consoled myself and decided to carry this 'imaginary' pregnancy.
i went to God in prayers, asking him not let me suffer in vain, the symptons were really something else, and to top it all,the belly was not that huge,it was little but it made me so fat.it was not easy carrying a pregnancy, that no ones believes in,but i never stopped praying.
9months later,my beautiful miracle popped out.he is so cute!!!!!!. and i know he will rule his world.
madam, please keep hoping and praying.9months isnt that long you know. and did i forget to tell that i never missed my period.
