    7. In state where children of 10 yrs are strapped with bombs, to blow themselves up! It is better to take precautionary measures to avoid stories that touch. Personally i wouldn't even support gej going to that state without wearing a bullet proof/ anti bomb vest. He isn't doing it for himself but he for peace to reign in Nigeria because if anything happened to gej in that state, I would be disastrous. It would create a kind of chain reaction that would be difficult to manage as the Niger Deltans would kill all the northerners they set eyes on. You Nigerians don't know that you are sitting on a keg of gun powder. It's unfortunate that most people haven't seen the danger in this coming election. God save us all.

    9. Iwoyi laro ti arugbo sunkun omo e to ku. Na now dis man remember to visit Borno?

What does he want to say to the remaining people there since many of them are either displaced from their homes or dead? It would have been better for him not to go there at all than to go there for campaign.

Whoever advised him to do this only made him look more insensitive to the people of Borno.

Errmmm , i hope whatever he's wearing underneath his kaftan can resist matchete and knives too???? *just thinking aloud*

    11. Sleek I beg to differ.

I also criticised GEJ when he refused to visit Borno at the earlier stage of the abduction. But as time went by I understood that GEJ himself was a major target. Yes. As with protocol, the president is expected to visit the affected area to show solidarity.

But security intelligence had it that Jonathan would have been attacked. Wouldn't we have blamed his security details if anything happened to him if he surrendered to pressure and visited back then?

It's true his visit amounts to nothing, but would have reassured everyone that the president is concerned. These people want Jonathan out of the way by all means. You can vote him out, no problem, but don't end his life because we want change at all cost.

    3. Too see things himself?? At this time?? He didnt go when his presence was needed by the people but now that election is approaching he went there "to see things himself". He is so goodhearted indeed.

    4. Go in the heat of the crisis and die you mean?...seriously all instead of praying for our nation, we seat back and judge. Wait till you are in the seat of authority in any sphere of life, even your good decisions would appear as bad in the eyes of some people. The man is carrying a lot on his shoulders and hearing a lot of voices giving suggestions both good and bad..I don't envy him one bit but I understand his plight.

    3. Eka joy, be truthful,,if not always, at least once in a while.
Why is the President just visiting Borno now? Do you know how many lives that have been lost there, how many families that have been displaced from their homes, how many families that have been separated while trying to escape the crisis? Do you know how many soldiers that lost their lives there?

All these didnt make GEJ to visit that place for once but all of a sudden he remembers Borno cos election is around the corner......very insensitive of him. So his campaign is more important than the lives of the people?

And on his only visit, he got himself bullet/bomb proof but he never thought of getting it for the soldiers that were deployed to that state....what a pity? That's selfishness if u ask me. "Asa mo omo tie gbe pamo, omolomo lo mo fi se ounje"......"omolomo la ran ni ise de toru toru". Put urself in the shoes of d wife of one of d fallen soldiers and u see dis picture, wont u say "Mr President could buy himself a bullet/bomb proof for just one visit yet he never made provisions for the soldiers". It would have been better for him not to go there at all. He just portrayed himself as one who is selfish and insensitive to d plight of d people.
