Chronicle Of HOPE -31

This is indeed Gods doing and it is marvellous in the sight of men.

If you are in a similar situation or you know anyone who is,please pass this on to them to read....Everything is possible if you believe in God.
Have HOPE and FAITH that can move mountains and you will move!

''Hello Stella, Calvary greetings to you. Don’t know where this post fits but I know you will figure it out. It is a bit long, please bear with me. Tried summarizing and ended up with this, please pardon all errors.

Barely a year after the passing of my dad, my bro and his girlfriend were involved in a ghastly motor accident. It was after church service on 7th of September 2014 they went out with the car to buy a birthday gift for my little sister whose birthday was the next day and two hours later we got a call from a neighbour (who happened to be going through that way) that they were involved in an accident.

Immediately, we asked of their well-being and were told that they had been rushed to the hospital that my brother was doing fine but there was no hope for the girl and that neighbour of mine happened to be a doctor. We cried and prayed on hearing the news and quickly rushed to the hospital. On getting to the hospital my brother was responding to treatment but hers was a different story entirely.

She had internal bleeding and was diagnosed with severe head injury, we were confused; we didn't know how to break the news to her parent for she is the first child and only daughter of her parent and also was in her final year. When I saw her at the emergency I could not believe it was her because this gal is on the slim side but that day I saw a fat person. She was taken to Intensive Care Unit; she was in coma and had to be placed on life support. The doctors said we should go and pray for her chances of survival was slim. We had hope because we believe in a living God, seven days after the accident she had not come out of the coma; tracheotomy had to be performed on her to avoid infection.

In her unconscious state, she bit her tongue out while fighting for her life it was only a small flesh that was holding it together and the doctors said they will have to perform surgery; to the glory of God the tongue healed itself without surgery. We started telling sweet nothings to her in order to let her know that she was not alone.

After four weeks of being in coma she regained consciousness and was discharged from ICU and taken to the ward. She started experiencing amnesia, couldn't remember any of us but with time and frequent visits she started remembering some things. She was being fed through the nose with a tube, but one night she pulled out the tube herself and asked for Amala and Ila to the amazement of all around.

The accident affected her legs and pelvic bones and her walking was in question, physiotherapists went to work, walking aid was bought for her but God has the final say in all situations and she also had faith. I have never seen that level of faith before.

On one of the visit of the physiotherapist while massaging her she just shouted Blood of Jesus, her first words in weeks after the accident. She told us she will walk but not with the walking aid and she didn't. Exactly two months after the accident 7th November 2014 she was discharged and today makes it a year she walked out of National Hospital without the walking aid.

Many people that were in ICU with her died, one is still in a vegetable state. The doctors and Nurses were surprised she survived it, even people around were surprised that they have never seen such before and her recovery was within a short period of time. It is indeed Gods doing and it is marvellous in the sight of men.

To crown it all we all thought the partial amnesia was going to affect her studies, she deferred her first semester, and went ahead to start second semester, after writing the second semester exam she came out in flying colours even her lecturers were amazed. She’s perfectly okay now and in school now doing her first semester that was deferred. She will be graduating before the year runs out. This is to encourage anyone going through difficult times that it is not over until it’s over. God is still in the business of performing miracles you just have to believe.

Thanks Stella for this platform, May God honour you and every member of your family. The pictures of her I'm sending are for your eyes alone please for private reasons but you can post the pictures of the car. We were too distraught to snap while she was in ICU, but this is her while she was recovering in the ward and her now. Thanks.

WOW...Praise GOD.

    1. Some doctors say "we care but God heals". There are some cases that are a total write off but something miraculous happens. In those cases, should people go and dance round the hospital with 2 rapa (wrappers)?
