Metuh Gets N300 Million Bail for “Tearing Own Statement”

A Federal Capital Territory High Court has granted bail to the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh.
The court however said Mr. Metuh is to provide a bail bond of N300 million, with two sureties each, with like sum.

He added that the sureties should have assets within the FCT.
Mr. Metuh was brought before the court on a two-count charge of alleged destruction of his statement, at the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The case is different from another seven- count charge of alleged fraud against him.Mr. Metuh had earlier been given a N400 million bail for the first case.
For the new case involving his statement,
Justice Ishaq Bello on Friday adjourned the bail application for Monday. He added that information would be passed on whether he could hear both counsel for the application, Friday. He ordered Mr. Metuh’s return to the Kuje Prison.

And no one should give me that crap about him changing his mind under duress. Cos we all know Metuh cannot be bullied into writing or saying what he didn't do, or want to say.

  25. Is it dat Buhari is fraustrated? Let him release Metuh now. All u fools shouting it is good, ur own days will come. Its obvious that Buhari's Govt has nothing to offer. I pray that Buhari is alive till 2019 so dat he will practically do noting for 4 yrs and Nigerians will now see d Change dey brot upon demselves. Is it dat Tifnubu,Atiku, kwankwaso, etc ar saints. Now its Fayose dey want to drag down, I trust dat one too,he'll finish all of u with his mouth. That's d only truthful person. If dem born Buhari well, make EFCC touch My Oga Jona,na dat tym him go know what's up

    1. Certainly Buhari will be alive in 2019 and beyond. Those who want him dead will die before him. Those who pray that Nigeria should fall under Buhari will fail and fall in seven folds in their personal lives, while Nigeria will be greater.

You cannot wish a person evil and expect that ur own life will end well. It is unfortunate that those who live in Nigeria have been consumed by so much hatred for Buhari that they curse him and Nigeria, forgetting that they themselves will be beneficiaries of such curses. Even if u live abroad, do u not have families in Nigeria? I marvel at some people's ignorance sha.

  28. hmmmm its unfortunate some nigerians have allowed themselves to be fooled for sixteen years, and with all these revelations they seems not see the reality on ground, they have being stealing the wealth of this nation and we are all suffering for it, the coming of PMB is God's doing to save nigeria from the hands of our nation enemies, whatever we say or do will not change God's plan for this nation, those who are angry with PMB are those who have living in the ocean of stealing, and they will never see anything good in the revelations going on, PMB is not a miracle worker bcos most nigerians are expecting a miraclous things from him, we should all depend on God to change nigeria for good where truth will prevail, God always send a messanger to His ppl whenever they go astray, at PMB age what does he need the nation wealth for, nothing, he only came tto do his best and live the rest, at the end of the day those ppl who do not want good for nigeria will not live to see the glory that is in nigeria for the rightous ones.
