Stella Dimoko Korkus Exclusive - Obasanjo Prostrates Before The Ooni Of Ife!

The last time they met last year when Former President Obasanjo escorted Oba Adeyeye to Ife for his seclusion to becoming Ooni,it was the Ooni who went down on all fours in Salutation...Now the tables have turned and Obasanjo didnt disappoint as he paid a historic visit to the new Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II and he went down flat on the floor in Salutation...

It is shocking to note that despite being tagged 'Controversial' the former President respects the Yoruba tradition, irrespective of age.

Obasanjo went flat on the floor and prostrated for the Ooni Of Ife.

His Mission?

He went to pay solidarity visit to Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi,Ojaja II for his efforts in trying to unite the entire Yoruba Race.

The entire Ife kingdom was agog with News of his historic visit and the Former President's praises went up to the high heavens.

Hmmmm,So Almighty Obasanjo can prostrate publicly for the New Ooni of Ife?
Na wah, this is indeed a new one and i honestly applaud it.

    2. He had to. More so, he was prostrating before the throne and not necessarily the wearer of the crown.

  7. It's tradition. Tradition is tradition. Age doesn't change it, neither does previous status. Obasanjo is a yoruba man and he knows this

  8. This is humility, tradition or not. Baba has made mistakes but he is 'special'.

  9. That's the tradition and he can't change it. He respects the authority bestowed on Oba Enitan so its not about who wears the crown, its about the authority he carries.

  25. What is the big deal in prostrating?

So far I get what I want, I fit lie down for main road sef.

  26. But he has to prostrate before the king nau, it's just normal

  27. kini a fi oba pe? Oba o, Oba la se, Oba... Iku baba yeye, ikeji osha...

  28. Anon Feb 6, 18:07.....pls dont say what you dont know. The Ooni can NEVER prostrate to anyone again irrespective of the person's age but anyone who comes across him MUST prostrate to pay homage to him......THAT IS YORUBA CULTURE, so whatever abomination u're talking about does not imply to this scenario.

If he still has a mum sef, his mum MUST not even call him by his name again(except its just two of them together in a place....likewise his wife), she will rather call him KABIYESI.

It is culture, it is tradition and Obasanjo sure understands that.
