    2. Well, she tried sha. Don't be calling out these ladies now, it's not fair! All designers have certain colours and designs in their collection. If an item looks the same but doesn't exist in their collection, then it's from China. The Chinese make very good counterfeits. Ask Linda Ikeji, she knows lol. She gets hers from Canal street Loub koh, KY jelly ni.

    3. Lol. Oh well, her choice and she's proud of it. Her colleagues wear same but form original. Their queen is Mercy, copycat is her logo but she rocks it well. Na fitting matter jare. End of.

    4. Mehn! I so much love her right now. Why buy luxurious item when there are good alternative? Well if u can splurge (like them otedola, et al) u can. I kinda like her sincerity and also her nigerianess(we get mouth die!) you can't verbally bully a real Nigerian and go scot free. Most especially a yoruba! They will reply u on spot with the purest sarcasm u can think of

    6. I'm yet to see one Nigerian babe in the entertainment/ blog/journalism world that has carried 8 or 10 million to buy just ONE shoe ONLY or ONE bag ONLY, NONE! I like this babe cus she's not a liar like LindaLies who had been lying since 19gborogodo. We know she has money in millions but mbanu she won't stop lying and exaggerating. That's how I saw her in Karama in Dubai the other time. Anyway, no need to talk much.
When aiye is not seriously doing you, you will buy 8 milla shoe, many Naija babes never get that mind sef

Even the very cheap designer like atmosphere n all that u can get from shops like primark abroad, what is sold in nigeria is the fake!!!! I don't blame naija girls dt buy fake, where will they see d original? Till shops like primark, river island n all set up their outlets in nigeria, d aba made will continue to trend...

I don't have a problem with knock offs. But don't come and start acting like it's the real deal when it's not. When we know the price is between 7 to 15k in the market. You want to come and form like you bought it over a 1000 dollars..

If she is comfortable in those shoes, her feet ain't serving as the sole of the shoes and I can't see her toes while in the shoe...why are we bothered?
Maybe she have other kmportant things to the with money
Besides alot of the people complaining have snapped with real fake shoes and out on line just cos we didn't see the name of the make...The closest most Nigerians have to the so called foreign designer shoe is buying from okrika. And truth is some people like buying new even of it was made in onitsha

  35. One thing vain people must realise is that not everyone's brain processes vanity. When they look at items, they see just brands and not beauty. Other people don't connect with brand but creative beauty. Liz saw shoe and bag her eyes appreciates. Please all these mockers cannot afford what they are mocking her about. Focus your energy on more productive things and how you can help humanity. Yeye doing pr for loub for free. He won't dash you shoes eh

  36. I think she is aware the shoe is fake and was ready to reply.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Then again I ask what defines fake?....as long as the name is not spelt currently it's just a replica..made by another unknown designer ..

Like I ask some people the pontiac vibe....is a complete replica of the Toyota matrix....matrix was out before the vibe....does that make the pontiac vibe a fake matrix?

She can post whatever she feel like I really don't care. .
I for one have flat feet I do well will flat and it's pretty difficult finding a shoe that's comfortable .so I really don't care if it's a so called well known designer ...or the unknown that live of the shadows of others. .All I care is the fitting and it its got a soft sole..

We all like shouting fake upandaun. .truth is most of this copy cat you see about know that most people in Nigeria have this slavish mentality believing everything from across the sea is original and the best and we so want to identify with our colonial masters we want to use their stuff even if we can't afford it...
That ibo tailor in Aba knows that of he puts chiwendu as his label you won't buy his cloths but after copying it and tagging atmosphere you will readily buy it....so to avoid issues he makes a replica of atmospheres design and tags it atmospher instead of atmosphere (notice the absence of the letter 'e' in the first word....at that point you aren't buying a fake atmosphere rather you bought atmospher. ...its only fake when you see the real atmosphere being produced with materials below their usual standards

    4. How come people like David Wej are selling in island stores? How come Lane Da-Silva Ajayi is making waves? AYs brother nko? Isn't he selling his brand? Abeg. Anyone that can't structure their business well shouldnt blame it on our love for foreign good (quality!). Nigerians love quality. NACK t-shirts sell and it's a Nigerian brand. If you give us quality we would buy. MAX store in the pals sell cheap stuff and they sell well. Aba boys try but they should unite and form a brand called ABA. Then all of them should be independent designers. They should open stores nationwide. Theor goods should she a wide price range but they shouldnt charge beyond a certain point. Main factories should be located in ABA and onitsha ariria market. And let's see if ABA won't become a global brand.

But would they unite? If yorubas were the ones who run ABA they would have come up with a plan B. (Sorry to say, I'm not a tribalist). So they should loom for a Plan B and catch up with the global trends if they want to unashamedly get our attention. Open online stores, do international shopping.
When they have made name, they can now shift to creating luxury designs, using nigerian stylists with international connects to develop and create luxury goods that will meet up our high tastes. There is no excuse. Just that they would rather collect sharp sharp money now that sit down and plan. These are the things cloth manufacturers are doing in China and they are dominating.

  38. Oh well,If you can afford it,buy it!
If you cant, make do with what you can afford. The whole essence is to be able to control your thirst especially if you can steal to get em.

I will not go out of my way to purchase an item that will cost me an arm and a leg.
I won't begrudge anyone that can afford it either. I like good things and I appreciate them on people.

  46. Those defending her shoul remember she sought to show them off. They didn't go to her house to criticise her shoes. If her intent was not to pass them off, why sequester the shoes for a post of its own. The truth is, from her rather hilarious rant, you will see her thought-process cannot assimilate that the Internet is full of well travelled, rich people with exposure. She was found out almost immediately and see what she spills. The point of using designers is because they're real, then for people to know they're real. When you by-pass the 1st procedure and knowingly use replicas, then you end up insulting yourself if caught. It's different when you believe the fakes are real.

However, this her shoe is highly fake. Even a child can spot that immediately.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @bonarparte. ...agreed they are fake by your definition

Please is it wrong if I snap a shoe that I enjoy wearing cos it makes my day and upload it?
Is there an unwritten law that states if the shoe is not made by a known foreign designer or local designer as the case may be I shouldn't snap it and use to cause a postive or negative traffic on my time line?

From her reply she didn't deny it wasnt the real louboutin (hope i spelt it right and i didint spell the replica)and I didn't see an accompanying post with that picture stating it's original or direct from the company. She didn't even attach a price tag
She just posted a picture of a bag and shoe she cherishes be it fake or real by anyone's standard....
We all shouldn't imagine and jump to conclusions that she wanted to pass off those shoes as real or fake. ..The attacks prompted her lengthy reply

And enough...you all accusing her of fake..Please buy her the real one so she can sample it on IG tagging you all as her benefactors..

      Delete
    2. The point of using designers is not because they are real...its because you like that particular designers expertise.....We have the hermes range of bags...They take their time to use leather....you have the gucci brand of bags...They have a brand of materials they use in making their products...They are all designers in their own right using different materials....you have the designers in China. ...They see a gucci design and they replicate it using their own materials.and they write made in China too...
I see a dress style in a magazine I love it.... i show my tailor that style telling him or her to replicate it with my material....that doesn't mean I am wearing fake cloth where the original designer is concerned....

The fact that one takes a particular post and sequester it for an bend down select shoe doesn't mean someone is passing it off as something else....

I personally buy stuff to meet their purpose.....as long as it's good and comfortable...I'm good to go
Those who look for the realness or fake Ness in other people's lives are more vain

    3. So, nah only pple wey buy original fit post for instagram? Issorite

      Delete
    4. I get your point Orela.
I'm all for freedom and one doing what she deems fit.

I've also seen people show things without showing off. There's even no crime in showing off but the posture of those shoes, the way she arranged them will show you how much she wanted the Louboutin tags to show. And the fake chanel bag at the back.

And I'm sure she didn't post it thinking "oh, let me post this and show people it's fake and I use copy'. Her first impulse was to pass it off and gain the 'prestige' that comes with designer patronage. Lol. Let's be sincere oh.

      Delete
    5. @bonarparte. All I'm saying is that we can't just sit on our high horse and have assumptions of what went through her mind.
And there is no particular style of arranging things or people for a picture depicts showing off my dear
IJS. .I get your point though but that's too main stream and I beg to differ..
      I'm really being sincere
