Man Who Raped Sales Girl Into Coma Burnt To Death In Delta State...

Pandemonium struck at the Ekuigbo community of Ughelli-North Local Government Area of Delta State on Wednesday after a suspected rapist was set ablaze.

The suspect was reportedly among the hoodlums who attacked a 22-year-old sales girl where she sold fish feed and gang raped her into coma on Monday.

Recall that the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Celestina Kalu, had confirmed the incident to DAILY POST, saying investigation into the case has begun. The PPRO had said the victim was receiving treatment at the Accident and Emergency, A&E, Unit of the Central Hospital.

However, all efforts to get through to the PPRO on the new development as at press time were abortive.

DAILY POST gathered that the unnamed victim has died and residents consequently apprehended one of the suspects and burnt him to death while onlookers gathered to behold the gory sight, including men in police uniform.

*Jungle Justice is horrible. He committed a crime but the people who burnt him to death will answer to God on the Judgement day.No one has any right to take life irrespective of crime committed!...thats my two cents!
There is a reason jail was created.

    2. But are they sure he's the right person? That's my only fear when it comes to jungle justice. But if they got the right culprit then I support this action!!

    3. If the law enforcement agencies are doing their work properly, there wouldn't have been jungle justice in Nigeria. Good for him. He should rest in hell.

    4. You take a criminal to the station and the policemen would tell you "you should have killed him, burnt him alive". It's just such a pitiable state. Spending money on so many frivolous things just because you reported a criminal. So what do we do? Pick the easier way out to save us the stress and cash. Afterall, he's a criminal, right?

The Nigerian police force needs a total reform. In as much as a person commits a crime, he ought to be deemed innocent until proven guilty, and he is entitled to fairhearing before being condemned by the court. Only the court has the power to sentence a person to death. Two wrongs do not make a right.

But then again, who is the court, to take a life? Can it create a human? So you see, the issue hoes on and on and on...

  15. I heard the raping and killing people in their shop has happened over three times in one month, maybe that's the reason the angry people couldn't spare the evil man.

    ReplyDelete
  16. How on earth do people set a human being on fire and watch the person die? I do not condone rape but setting a human being on fire is a whole shade of wickedness. What a bunch of stone hearted people. Those who engage in rape need to read this and amend their evil ways too. Please, stop jungle justice people.

I still can't understand why some men force themselves on women .

As for me, if we are to do it. U should give me 100% cooperation or nothing. And u must be happy about it or I will call everything off.And there must be no shakara.

  21. Good for him, sometimes the jungle justice pays

    ReplyDelete
  22. Stella no talk like that o, they are three of them, heard two escaped, leaving one(the burnt). Jail is not the right place to put this ones, because after they will still come out and do worse crime. If this is how criminals, killers, rapists etc were always treated, guess evil would reduce a little.

    ReplyDelete
  23. This is another version of the story, the guy didn't succeed , he went to her store in the morning just as she was getting set for the day's business and tried to remove her eyes, she raised an alarm and people gathered, i really don't know how he planned this mission but he failed.
Stella your red pen was my sentiment exactly till i read the thread of this story on facebook, the police and local vigilantee has failed them, Ughelli is a very small town that used to be peaceful until some years back, if they are not kidnapping and demanding ransom they are eliminating sold victims, and the recent trend is rape and removing peoples eyes, people are scared for their lives, if this would deter other would-be perpetrators then so be it.
This is the 2nd case of Jungle Justice in one week.

    1. Obviously from what you have described tensions are high and people are looking for a scape goat to unleash their frustrations on. That's a very dangerous state because most likely innocents will killed since reasoning is out the window.

Not to take anything away from the meat of your argument, but u seem quite conversant with the pricing of prostitutes, almost as much as if it was network data tariff. I bow o!

  26. Jungle justice should be served to rapist and armed robbers. I support it whole heartedly for this 2 set of crimes. Because going to jail will not help. They come out after 2 yes and do more meanwhile their victim is already 6feet below..

This jungle justice will curb such crimes as along as they apprehend the right person..

    ReplyDelete
  27. The worst case scenario are best case for some instance in cases like this. If we do more of jungle justice, this criminal acts will be at the lowest form now. Not rape only, but someone that steal 200k to 100M above. They all need to rot in executive class Hell.

What about what the bible says? If the process used didn't involve government, its murder, period, & therefore punishable. That doesn't mean the animals raping are right, but what kind of society would we have if there's no due process? Soon innocent people will be lynched under the guise of jungle justice. He deserved it yes, but only under law properly so called.

      Delete
  29. How are they sure he is the one. What if there was a mix up somewhere. Allow the law to take its course. They say this girl is in coma right, so how come they were able to identify the culprit. Smh
