And to one, he gave five talents, to another he gave two and to another, he gave one! TO EACH, HE GAVE ACCORDING TO THEIR ABILITY!"
Matt. 25:14-15.
Alot of people are still yet to come to terms with the reality that we all are blessed with atleast one ability.
They are probably too engrossed with envying someone who has probably worked out their's that they fail to realise that they aswell have something that if worked out too, will be an object of admiration!
The above text synchronises perfectly with Genesis when God placed Adam in the garden of Eden to work the garden and take good care of it.
Too many Christians have clinged on the alibi of being heavenly conscious that they have become earthly failures. They forget that God told us to have dominion over everything.
Christians must stop seeing Salvation as train ticket to heaven. Yes, Salvation guarantees you a place in heaven, but while you await the King's return, subdue the earth, have dominion, and take charge. You are meant to be the light of the world. In this dark age that we live, your light is meant to illuminate and give direction to the lost. Yes, I mean YOUR LIGHT, because the moment you accept Jesus into your life, you tap into the light of His glory!
While Jesus was praying to the Father, He said something worthy of note in John 17:15. "I do not pray that you take them out of the world, but that you preserve them from the evil one."
Here, Jesus was referring to His disciples, which is presently you and i(His believers). We are here on earth to Glorify God, serve the common good and and to further God's kingdom! THERE CAN'T BE REWARD WHERE THERE IS NO WORK!
Friend, the parable of the Talent elucidates to us that we will be held accountable for our gifting. This is about 'whole life stewardship'. In your gifting, talent and ability lies your purpose and if you are not using them, it just might be taken away from you.
Discover your talent, Polish it, give it attention, and with determination, you will surely seat with kings. For a man's talent make the room for him...!
Happy New Year.
