OONI MEETS ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY, PREACHES LOVE AND PEACE.


The Ooni of Ife His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II was on Friday morning hosted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby who received the African foremost monarch at his Lambert Palace, London. 



The two leaders sued for peace and harmony so that the world can be a better place where we all will be able to fulfill the wishes of the Almighty God.


Ooni Ogunwusi during his speech commiserated with the church, royal family, government and good people of England over the terrorist incident that occurred on the Westminster bridge, London in which some lives were lost died and several people injured.


He praised the Archbishop for always preaching love and peace and described the English people as very accommodating who should not be paid back with terrorism


"You are known for preaching love, peace and harmony which is all we need to for maximum enjoyable co-existence in the world.



I commiserate through you with the church, royal family government, and the people of England over the ugly terrorist incident of Wednesday. It was an evil act that shouldn't be a reward for the friendliness and magnanimity of the English people."Ooni said.


While receiving the Ooni and his entourage, Archbishop Justin Welby of Canterbury acknowledged Africa as the source of human race and civilization. He showered encomiums Ooni Ogunwusi who he described as an embodiment of peace and love which he is globally known for.


"Am extremely happy to have you and other kings from Nigeria today. Everyone in England is so happy with the way you have been moving around suing for global peace and harmony.


You are indeed an embodiment of peace and love. I must say that Africa is the source of human race and civilization also started from there. Your efforts to keep the African continent stabilized in peace and harmony are thus highly commendable. We all love you ". Archbishop Welby said.



The leaders prayed for the souls of the victims of the Yoruba/Hausa crisis in Ife two weeks ago and the Wednesday terrorist attack of Westminster in London. This was followed by an exchange of gifts between. While Ooni presented the Archbishop an artwork of African unity, the Archbishop gave the visiting African monarch a bible specially printed for Queen Elizabeth's birthday.
