NNPC Sacks Directors Over N11bn Missing Petrol Fund

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) has fired three of it's senior officials over their alleged involvement in N11bn missing fuel scandal.




It has been reported that the Corporation has deployed four others to man the vacant positions.
The report further quoted the Corporation’s Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Ndu Ughamadu, however as saying the affected officials were retired, though no reason was given.

The affected officials to include, Mrs. Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue, Managing Director, NNPC Retail Ltd; Mr. Alpha P. Mamza, Executive Director, Operations, NNPC Retail Ltd; and Mr. Oluwa Kayode Erinoso, Manager, Distribution, NNPC Retail Ltd.

Others are Mr. Adeyemi Adetunji, Managing Director of NNPC Retail Ltd; Engr. Lawal Bello, Executive Director, Operations, NNPC Retail Ltd; Mrs. Affiong Akpasubi, Executive Director, Services, NNPC Retail Ltd; and Mr. Agwandas A. Andrawus, Manager, Distribution, NNPC Retail Ltd.

  9. Don't be too quick to judge when you don't have the full story. This is a clear case of witch hunting. It is public knowledge that Ifeanyi Uba sold the reserve oil given to him to store. Everyone knows that. So why has he not been arrested for it after all its theft. He stole nigerian property but these directors of NNPC who did wrong by allowing oil to be stored with a crook have been sacked. In addition some of them are been fingered in recovered funds not up to 3 days after their retirement. How convenient.
    Pls use your brain and critically analyse issues before coming to blogs to spill your mind.

  10. We are just not serious yet, if capital punishment is enshrined and anyone found culpable is executed, then brain go set.Until this is done and religiously followed, political offices na house of largesse in Naij.
