Lai Mohammed Says Forget Propaganda Buhari Has Fulfilled Campaign Promises

Lai Mohammed, minister of information and culture, says President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has fulfilled its campaign promises to Nigerians.

Mohammed made the pronouncement at the presentation of the National Social Investment Programmes (N-SIP), report card event to mark the 2nd anniversary of Buhari’s administration in Abuja.

The theme of the report card presentation was ‘Showcasing the Achievements of National Social Investment Programmes: A Smile for Every Nigerian’.

He said through N-SIP, the federal government provided employment to 200,000 unemployed graduates, engaged 57,000 people through Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) and empowered about 26,000 ordinary Nigerians through Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT).

Mohammed said under the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP), government was able to serve about 25 million meals to 1.2 million pupils all over the country in order to make learning conducive.

He added that the APC federal government under its school feeding programme had employed at least 12,000 cooks across 36 states and the FCT.

He said the programme was designed in such a way that it was easy and accessible to all Nigerians, adding “one of the unique selling points of the programmes is the transparency in it.”

According to him, this is the first programme in the history of Nigeria that you do not need to know anybody before you can get enrolled.

“I am happy that many of the beneficiaries have testified to this and this is a new dawn,” he said.

“My appeal to all the beneficiaries is to please let them not limit their testimonies to this hall please say it louder and clear at every time to all Nigerians.

“Let Nigerians know how this government has impacted positively on your lives.”

The minister said that in spite of dwindling resource, between since 2016, the federal government was able to add an additional $7 billion to its foreign reserves.

Mohammed disclosed that the Buhari administration had been able to attract $500 million to the Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF), and increased the Excess Crude $ 87 million.

  7. This government doesn't dig deep to fetch lies, it just stays at the tip of their tongue waiting to be released.
The key now is 'there's no point waiting on this government that has decided to gird it's loins with lies, put on your thinking caps and go out there to look for things you can use in helping yourself whilst asking God to prosper the work of one's hands'. It is well with us all where they like it or not.

  15. See his lying mouth. Shameless old man. Which of the promises has he fulfilled? Making life so unbearable for Nigerians. Far worst than he met it? Punishing Nigerians for allowing him to contest 4times before winning? Making a bag of rice to sell for 28k instead of 8k?making dollar to #550 as previously #200. So many that i can't mention. May your family and everything associated with you Mr lie Muhammed receive the kind of fulfilled promise like that of buhari .

  16. Uncle Lai, how many people did Bubu promise to employ as opposed to the cooked up lies up there? Which cooks employed where? Forgive me but lemme speak for my state, Cross River, where's the feeding scheme happening so I can investigate? Which cooks, to where? It seems you think all Nigerians live in the moon and can't discover your lies with evidence sef. How about the very first promise of $1 to N1? Or the 20k and 5k promised unemployed youths? Is it the power supply? We had to contribute money to get a transformer in my area or wait for a year before we'd get one. Dude, pity your generations unborn na? Nsuto nkpo! *yawns too mbok*
