    2. Its a pity. Town planning i believe ended in Jakandes time. All the new areas are just free for all. They dont have GUTTERS. A street in an area like this should have gutters on either side of the road and deep gutters inside. But alas. These neighbourhoods sprung up haphazardly, everyone doing their own thing while the town planning ministry was chopping toothpick. Now here we are.

  7. hmmmmm it is a pity. You people were just building and building without taking congnisance of having drainage.

My former colleague that is staying there. What is the name Alambe or what, i wonder how he will feel.

His own he fishes everytime there is rain in that Ajah that he stays.

Comfort to you guys. The rain has stopped today. I pray everything goes back to normal.

Today the traffic was light, am sure most of the people were at home drying their clothes and other stuff

    1. Gbam. Exactly what i said. It is to go back to the drawing board in these areas. And this flood is NOT A NEW THING. It happens annally. Common sense should make people proactive just before rainy season. If government no clear ya canal. Biko call ur neighbours to call their neighbours. Hell call aboki, get anyone. Just get the gutters and canals deweeded, dregded and cleared. Even a little. If everyone went into this frame of mind, it would never get this bad. This is where the central govt system has failed. If people were able to hold their local government chairpersons responsible and suffer them directly ni. They would be performing better. The local governments should have a better role to play than having ghost workers and playing ten ten

  10. God will see them through, but compared to what happens to my family in the early 2000s in PH, the water in our living room was at the knee level, I'm not lying, and that happened consecutively for 4years, and because it was our home, everytime it dried up (takes 4/5 months), we have to go back and clean up. It wasn't funny, or easy, we had to live in a school. Smh. Thank God for life sha.

You see what I was saying about those mocking some areas of nigeria about having erosion. Life is not a bed of roses . Natural disaster can hit anyone . Note: we have properties at the island, so I am not immuned from this.
My point is, rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those whose mourn. Do not laugh over people's misery.
