    1. Putting Jollof Rice in a wine glass is a sign of disrespect.

That food has 3 African countries on the brink of war over it.

      Creativity my arse!!! Mschewww

    1. When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. In this case, the purpose of a champagne glass is known. Like a Bv said, this is disrespectful!

  5. It doesn't look creative to me! One will have difficulty eating from the wine cup. You will have to eat the meat first with your bare-hand, before you can find your way to the jollof rice which is also very inconvenient.

I'll say NO to the idea.

  6. The Jollof rice dynasty has been wronged!
who is responsible for this sacrilege ???

I would rather eat with my bare hands than wrong JF this way.
wait a minute; are we supposed to sip the rice grains, or use a straw?

I don't understand why we feel the need to westernise our dishes.
Is the rice supposed to be eaten or drunk?

  14. it is beautiful... but i like my party jollof rice/chicken to have weight and occupy space... so i therefore pass it to the members of the high table.

  15. No, I won't. I refuse to be struck dead by the goddess of Jollof rice.

I don't know what is it with people and the desecration of Jollof rice.

It started with people adding carrots, greenpeas and liver. Now, people now serve the dearly beloved jollof rice with all those round spoon making it look like swallow.

What is wrong with people? Can't they are Jollof rice is sacred! Don't make it into forms or shapes, stop garnishing it excessively.

For the sake of all the goddess of foodmaking, leave it with the Smokey firewood taste, it's grains beautifully scattered on the plate and if I want meat/Chicken or any other animal flesh! I'll ask for it!.

How can you dare to put Jollof rice in a Cup? This is an abomination!
Please tell am I supposed to sip the rice? Or use a straw? Or put a spoon in the cocktail cup?

    Whoever did this would never...

    Haha!

Jollof rice is not just food, it's medicine!

    4. It's not just medicine, its a 'god'. I'm very angry with this picture, and whoever did this deserves to be punished. There are kingdoms that pay special reverence to JELLOF Rice, how can anyone now turn it to caricarute? Wait! They'll hear it. 😟😑

  16. No. Although it looks good on picture.

  17. Instead of the caterer to confess that the food won't go round if served in plates she decided to be creative.
Or maybe it's another way to bring jollof rice to cocktail parties.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Beautiful presentation but not practicable. As in party guest trying to eat, the meat or chicken risk falling on someone's lap.

  23. Plate don finish? Why should I eat from that? I don't like the idea biko.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I can eat jollof rice anyway. Issue is will it belle-full me? All this cocktail service na to reduce quantity of jollof served. Jollof that is d life of a party, served in small portions like this, I daresay, its not creative, its miserly. I mean, why invite ppl to ur party and refuse to serve them the koko in a proper way? It is cheating and as a proposed guest at d parry, I say NO!!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Where do I start from? Will I remove d chicken first n place on the table b4 I start eating or eat d chicken 1st b4 the rice? Biko I cant even stress myself that much just serve me jollof with a plate.
