Actress Uche Ogbodo Disagrees With Monalisa Coker's Stance On Domestic Violence

Sometime last week, actress Monalisa granted a interview saying that women should also be blamed for domestic violence. ..Well,blamed 50%.
Uche thinks otherwise and has taken to her IG page to air her opinion.

    1. Am a married lady but the word "NEVER" discouraged me from reading.

    3. I totally agree. Men should also be taught how to react when they are angry.

    4. Anon 15.14, first of all it is, "I am" a married woman. Second of all "Never" is an English word and in this context it is appropriate.

  2. the word "NEVER" is what is wrong in her post and the most probable reason for being in domestic violence herself.
It can be any of the couples faults. But the way to handle faults is not to be at fault too; it is not to strike back.
To back off is the golden character here.

    1. Monalisa said what???
While some women may contribute in some cases, how do you describe the ones who are solely timid and don't contribute in any way?
I will keep screaming it, you cannot control my actions (this includes words) as a woman, but you can control your reactions!!! Just because a woman chooses to run her mouth or more doesn't mean you respond with violence. You can walk the fuck away! Leave the area! lock her in a room if you must (some women can go looking for trouble) but don't hit her!

  6. i just knew she didn't think this up herself, obviously a copied post as so stated. That being said, i beg to disagree...women play a role in domestic violence. most ladies go into a relationship knowing their partners temperament but just because they want to be married or want the "in a relationship tag" they stay put. mind you, some women just know how to push a mans buttons. you already know he has a bad temper,he may not be the violent type but there's always a first time for everything. i personally, will not speak to someone who just wants to be shouting. i simply hold my peace or walk away and make my point at a later time, not because i'm scared or weak but because wisdom is profitable to direct. men also go through domestic violence its just that we hear it more from the women. finally, all things should be done with wisdom...don't always want to have the last say when it comes to arguing with your spouse, i don't think a man will inflict pain on you if you choose to back down from a heated situation. This is in no way suggesting that you act a fool, but timing is everything...it can still be addressed when you are both calm except the man is naturally a psycho or he's a substance abuser. :)

  7. As much as we groom boys not to hit women, and not to talk down on women/men we should also groom women never to hit men. We should also groom girls to know that talking down on someone, using their failures, weaknesses and short comings is abuse also. No one should come and say women's power is in their mouth, else we can as well say men's power is in their hands, yes!!!
You Dont hit a man and expect him to walk away. Who are you to dictate what his actions should be after throwing the first Punch?
What I'm trying to say is abuse of any form, psychological, emotional or physical is very wrong. Say not to abuse of any form. We should practise self control and restraint at all times.

  8. She is speaking total rubbish, everyone even God has a limit before unleashing his wrath on sinners, the word 'never' is so wrong, some women could be so bad mannered and pushy that it sometime take the grace of God for a man to walk away. How many men in this world would watch a lady slap and push his mother to the ground and just look the other way because women can never be wrong.

    1. Please do not equate a hapless man and one who lacks self control with the almighty. A woman is not only a wife, she's a daughter, mother and a person. What gives you the right to touch her? No matter what she says, if you can't exercise self control then you and you alone are responsible for your action. If you hit her, you and you alone are guilty of an assault, provocation is not a defence for assault. Change your mindset it's outdated.

    1. Is a woman a child that needs a whooping to be disciplined? Talk is cheap everyone is entitled to it, let the man use his WORDS too. This is what is taught children now from an early age. For goodness sake!

    1. Everyone is responsible for his actions, unless it is for self defence, a man is solely responsible for hitting a woman.
