Dangote Truck Kills Four Kogi Sstate Poly Students And Others...

More than five persons have been reported killed in Lokoja today when a truck, laden with cement and belonging to Dangote cement company, Obajana, allegedly ran into a tricycle ‘keke napep’ few distance from the state polytechnic.

Among those killed were three school children and some occupants of the ‘keke napep’ on their way to school including a student of Kogi State Polytechnic, whose identity is yet to be known as at time of filling this report.

Eyewitness account said the truck was coming from Obajana and heading to the northern part of the country when he lost control around the polytechnic gate and rammed into the victims.

The truck was said to have also ran into a taxi cab with many of the occupant sustaining serious injuries.

The development has irked the polytechnic students who now went berserk and barricaded the Abuja- Lokoja highway burning tyres, destroying billboards. A situation that has created a heavy gridlock on the road.

Members of Federal Road Safety Corps are said to have raced to the scene of the incident to rescue those who are still trapped under the truck.

  5. Death traps on the road these trucks. Always killing people. Constantly breaking down and causing a menance to society. That's how for about two weeks they caused a total road block on Asaba expressway to Lag and Abuja and they'll just leave the trucks there not caring.

  6. I don't understand these people. Did they swear oaths before taking the jobs? It doesn't make sense how they kill people all over the country. How many times have we heard that fuel tanker killed people? The worst part is they leave the accidented truck there. A reminder? Or what? Evil people

  16. Something made me almost believe the rumors about these trucks and their drivers. It was like that particular driver was on a devil's mission that day, he kept driving dangerously and recklessly close to our bus, God just gave our driver the wisdom to clear and park by the roadside, allowed about 5mins distance between us to lose the truck before we continued on our journey.
Rip to the dead it's really sad, I know these people are like sacred cows but we can't keep losing souls to this way with no one being held responsible, unfortunately nothing works in this country
