Lai Mohammed And Lauretta Onochie Confirm President Buhari Is Not Travelling To The US Today

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, says the news being circulated via a parody Twitter account and an old NTA news video that President Muhammadu Buhari is travelling or has travelled to the U.S. is fake.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, says the news being circulated via a parody Twitter account and an old NTA news video that President Muhammadu Buhari is travelling or has travelled to the U.S. is fake.

In a statement issued in Lagos yesterday the minister urged Nigerians to disregard the news. The statement was signed by the Special Adviser to the minister, Mr Segun Adeyemi.

The minister said one of the numerous parody Twitter accounts in his name — “@MohammedLai”, was used to disseminate the fake and ludicrous news that claimed that President Buhari was due to leave Nigeria for the U.S. on Monday ”to condole with President Donald Trump over the floods in Houston”.

Mohammed Said Nigerians should disregard any news credited to any account in his name, either on Twitter or Facebook. That is why we are urging Nigerians to be more discerning and to double check any information emanating from Social Media.

  6. Thank God the news is fake cause I was about to 😂😂😂😂😂 @ "to condole with President Donald Trump over the floods in Houston”. I find that statement funny because him never quench him own fire but wants to go & help another quench him own.
In all, may God help the affected victims worldwide to find help & shelter.

  7. Barracudianusaurusunamon - Hi, Guys. It's me again.

The pronunciation of the man's name is a clear depiction of his countenance, "Lai", well to be a politician, you gotta be a lai-ya, anyway, to the victims of the flood, I wish you all safety and relief as you go thru these perilious time, to our sickler and musophobic president, I wish you good health and less traveling, to our very own Mr. Lai, less slithering tongue, Nigeria doesn't need your tantrums.

    Cheers.
