Nigeria’s First Lady Remi Tinubu Appeals to Davido, Burna Boy and Asake to Help Poor Nigerians

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, publicly appealed to Afrobeats stars Davido, Burna Boy and Asake to channel part of their wealth into charitable foundations that support poor and vulnerable Nigerians.

She made the appeal during her visit to Kogi State, stressing that while luxury lifestyles are fine, the burden on the government is heavy and wealthy entertainers can make a significant impact by helping struggling citizens.

She referenced examples of small‑scale traders who were able to grow their businesses through targeted support, noting that structured celebrity foundations could empower many more people across the country.

“I want to appeal to our young people in this country. Burna Boy, Asake and Davido, we want to see you come together under one foundation to help the poor with your money. The Maybachs and Rolls-Royces are good, but you can still help. The burden on the government is huge.”

  1. They don't owe Nigerians a dime! You and your husband should resign if the work load is too much for you.
