President Buhari's Daughter Halima Reveals What He Told Her In Her Mother's Bedroom

Halima, one of the daughters of President Muhammadu Buhari, says her father told her that she must study hard because he has nothing to offer than education.

Halima said this while speaking in a video documentary titled ‘The Human Side of President Buhari’.

The 55-minute video, put together by the media and publicity department of the state, had ministers, aides of the president, and other members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) talking about how their feelings on Buhari’s management style, reception to counsel and his major strength.

Speaking on what she wanted Nigerians to know about Buhari, Halima said her father is someone who is realistic.

“He came to my mother’s room and he said look, I have nothing. I have nothing for you. And if you want to study, study hard and make it because this is what I have for you- your education,” Halima quoted Buhari to have said.

“So, you better buckle up and study hard. And since then, I still have his image, just standing by the wall and telling us that. And I realised just how lucky I am because in this society that we are in, I wonder how many fathers will tell their children that.

“He is a very realistic father. This is the reality. He is showing us reality. And he always talks to us about the leaders that passed away without leaving anything behind and it didn’t stop their children from making it.”

  6. And she's without a hijab above. Yet a Muslim. It didn't change her from being a Muslim or practicing her fate. To think she could have made noise seeing her father was president.

  7. Regardless of when he told her,the important thing is he motivated his daughter. As a former head of state, the federal government was paying him 23 million naira, so he wasn't poor prior to becoming president. Moreover he had a lot of good will, some very influential and rich people were falling over themselves to please him.

    3. People falling over themselves to please him? If he accepts any unearned gratuity or inducement that is corruption and graft. Did he mention Yusuf's 15 million naira powerbike in his documentary? The gods are not asleep. Buhari's legendary deceitfulness is being put to the test.

  13. He has nothing to offer to you because you're a girl, in your culture and religion you girls are only eligible to husbands, sure if you were a son he wouldn't tell you that. Your father can't say he doesn't have properties scattered all over Nigeria. I can't believe Buhari is also scamming his children. SMH!
