On Fela Durotoye's Presidential Ambition

On Fela Durotoye's presidential aspirations: Very Nice. but teaching "leadership" and motivational speaking, even running a successful business is not enough to be Nigeria's president.

  1. Advising also does not make you an expert in the art of politics. Madam adviser, keep your advise to yourself and leave this man alone. It appears these discouragers are young people. They obviously lack the courage to do what this man is doing and so in jealousy they are trying to taint his efforts. Is it your presidential ambition? Is it your party? Is it your motivational speaking? Is it your money they will use to do presidential ambition? Fola onishe, face your life and the troubles battling you and leave people who want to move forward alone. Aunty Gbegele

    2. To rule nigeria is beyond motivational talk, fela bold step but that's not what it takes

    3. @anonymous it seems your brain is leaking! What he said is true. Before fela indicated interest, I didn't know he was. There is no iota of politics in hoc CV. If he were a minister or governor, that would have been much better. He should have learnt from his predecessors so as not to make the same mistake. Him declaring interest is great and that's all it is.

    4. @anonymous... I do not understand what jealousy has got to do with anything. Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. And what he said is true. Fela contesting is great and that is all it is, great. Read up on young presidents worldwide and see their portfolios. They all had at a point in time been involved in politics. Before last week, I had never heard of fela. A lot of people still haven't heard of him in Lagos. If it was Peter Obi that declared interest, I would happily go and vote but fela... He should try 2023. We've been hurt and are just being careful.

    3. I am shocked by the comments made by youths as regards fela durotoye intentions of running for president.i understand he might not have the neccessary experience to run the office of a president properly but come on people rome was not built in a day. His stance on this issue is applaudable. Why cant we just be supportive for once in our lifes
This will even discourage more youths to come out openly. We want change yet we criticize the person that has the courage to contest. What exactly do Nigerians want?untill we start changing our thinking, the old ones will continue to rule us. Wake up from your slumber nigerians. Its time to make up your minds on what you truely desire. Do u want change?Kudos to Fela Durotoye. I stand by Fela Durotoye

  3. Leave this man alone please. What do Nigerians really want? Una never start o. Una never ready at all. If an old man decides to contest or be reelected, you guys will complain. Now someone fresh wants to give it a try, discouraging words all over the place. Mtchewww

All I know is that I will use my PVC for a fresh and promising face not the usual cycle of old and heartless people with manifestos that are already dead on arrival.

    Madam adviser, faced front please.

  6. Stella tell me what is enough to be president of Nigeria? Does the French president have 2 heads? We will take any thing other than the mumu Aboki here now! Pls show us a better candidate or else shut up.

  7. All I know is that,he is a breathe of fresh air. Nigeria politics is so stale,we keep recycling old leaders. He has my vote.

  8. Some people are just dumb, it's obvious that Nigerians deserve the type of leaders they get, if madam writer used this same energy to speak for this guy I think it will do a little for his ambition. Some people are just dream killers, they don't want Buhari yet they don't want a young man....it seems she's happy with the shit this bunch of old cargoes are feeding her with.

  9. Many Nigerians are cowardly mumus. What experience did Emmanuel Macron of France have before contesting and winning the office of President of France. Ditto Trudeau of Canada. The brains of many Nigerians have been so thoroughly jazzed by these wicked old men ruling the country that Nigerians can never cut themselves loose from their grip. Even if given a knives to cut themselves loose they will prefer to use the knives to stab each other and even kill the person who gave them the knives.

  10. I just can't with naysayers.

At least let the man try to contest and fail, before you people dance in celebration. Remember how critics came for Trump when he started, saying He wasn't involved in politics but is a good business strategist bla bla. Hehehe. Im still weak when i think about it. With ALL his flaws he's ruling the most powerful country.

He may not win this election, no one's winning is guaranteed but it is good that he will come out to try. Let him try out his strategy FIRST let's see. Abeggyy.... what people in rural areas care about is good infrastructure and a means of livelihood. Did Donald Duke go to villages? My granny said she saw a fine face and pointed that that's who she will thumbprint for. And her friends did same. Sounds funny but its true. 'I vote that one wey get big eye e fine oh. Na who born am, which village e from?'

The north will always dominate by numbers and that's for sure, no one is even disputing that. That and bribery for votes are more of my concern. I'm not even going to waste time arguing on this matter. That's life.... people will always try to detour you or bring resistance in everything you do.

Good luck Fela! Win or not, you have done a brave thing.
