Adamawa Healthcare Gets N2.5bn Reward For Saving 1million Lives

Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency has been rewarded with N2.5bn for improving its health care system and reducing maternal and infant mortality rates under the Federal Ministry of Health’s Saving One Million Lives initiative.




Speaking on the grant received on behalf of his agency, Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Abdullahi Belel, described it as the reward to the state for emerging as the best performing state in health care delivery to vulnerable groups in the North-East.


He made the disclosure in Yola on Thursday while opening the state’s secretariat of the National Association of Community Health Care Practitioners, which also honoured him with an award for his service.


The state Primary Health Care Development Agency received the reward of N2.5bn from the Federal Ministry of Health during the debriefing of its Saving One Million Lives initiative.
