ReplyDeleteI tend to act like a man,not aggressive at all, but not ladylike/overselfconscious, I was always on jeans and big 'long to my knees' top.lol. I will go 'wetin dey' instead of forming like girls used to do. Guys were always daring me,I will easily do the dare. Thats how bikeman dared me, and I rode bike to thedestination, he being passenger, me driver. With scary headlines I read now, its like life was more innocent then because my body be like sdk (big bumbum)come add wide hips join so guys tend to get confused as
sadly my look and behaviour did not correlate.lol so guys often bcame either my friend or just obsessed with me, its not funny o, am not bragging, obsession is not funny, so many chronicles in my head, e don cool down now as I learned boundaries but At 19 going on 20 in a uni environment i had too many guys obsessed with me, one was so obsessed he kept sending me western union (money) after he ran from uni to 'the abroad'.
the other was so obsessed he gave me a whole custom designed piano.
They give these gifts so freely. Maybe bcos I talked&behaved like a boy it was awkward for them to ask me on a date talkless of sexual advances, but visually I wasnt a boy.
I had to take piano to my 'harsh and strict' parents house, . At home I was very quiet, yes ma/sir no sir/ma. My mum was harsh to everyone especially me,my mum has a way of bringing out the worse feeling of depression in me.

ReplyDeleteMy mother saw piano and spent so long shouting at me. I lied that a friend who lived very far asked me to keep it till when we resumed. As usual she insulted me foolish thing, asking if i was now a store room. Then she sent me so many messages, (walk to the market i am timing you, buy maggi and ugwu, come back and wash clothes, then sweep and mop the entire house)yes ma. That day Her business partner upset her and when she is angry, she always transfers the anger,(till today o)
there i was I was moping the entire house, she called me, and shouting I should make tea, there I was doing what she asked (make tea with 2 teaspoon of milk and 2 cubes of sugar) she started insulting me (i said no sugar)..I replied but you said 2 cubes ma. She insulted me as a useless fool at my age (I never reply her) and said I should get out of her sight, I couldnt help my emotions i was tired and upset so while leaving I slammed the door loudly.
She followed me, picked the mop I had dropped to make her her tea
"its all these men talking to you, that is now making you rude to me kwo, I will kill you today."
Me that never reply just said its her right afterall she gave birth to me, My mum used expletives on me and beat me with the mop until it got pieces, she got the broom and beat me, she tore my sweatfilled big top, I kept saying its your right kill me, Holy Father receive my soul. She now dragged the piano (you fool you dare still talk) and smashed it to pieces. I was bleeding all over, top torn, everyone in the house, but my immediate younger brother, was on her side,(na she dey control pepe after dad so its natural). When she finished she slammed her room door. They all watched me limp to try and pick the pieces of the piano, my younger bro was trying to ask me to clean my injuries, everyone else was asking me to apologise, quoting honor your parents. hmm this has become too long.
long and short I realised I just was not violent, I didnt even block my body when she hit me. So If she hit me today I will do nothing and say nothing but chances are she will never see nor hear directly from me again.
By the way I have never fully understood mothers day, or when boarding school mates (in fggc) girls will be crying for mum/mom/mummy/mumsy/mama to visit. She never came for me and it was fine with it.
For me its shout or insult galore. I will always receive an insult when I buy gifts or cards for her on mothers day...it has affected me so bad I am thinking of adopting so if i have such anger in me and dont know like unaware, I dont transfer it genetically let it die with me... story for another day
It’s epithet that woman is not your biological mother or she has a mental problem. That shouldn’t stop you from having beautiful children and showing them all the love and care you truly have in your heart. Just be everything your mum is not and that will be fine.
