NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS
My father-in-law’s first daughter’s husband is a retired police officer. From what I know, he’s a very dirty cop.
You would think that now that he’s retired, he would be enjoying his retirement, right? But no. He’s down with a serious stroke, and my husband and I began discussing how dirty cops always end up miserable.
My husband shared the story of a police officer whose two sons were knocked down and killed while riding a motorcycle. He also shared the story of another officer whose children are hooked on drugs. Then he told me about another officer whose wife owned a beer parlour. She brought a young girl from the village to work for her, accused her of stealing one day, and put hot, fresh pepper in her private parts.
Listening to all these stories and hearing about their ordeals left me with the impression that nemesis always catches up with bad cops.
Hmmmmmmm!!!!!

Plenty Positive Thoughts For Negative‑Minded People
Some people carry negativity the way others carry handbags everywhere they go. But remember that your peace is not up for negotiation.
Positive thoughts are powerful; they remind you that you can rise above anything trying to pull you down.
When people choose doubt, choose confidence.
When they choose negative gossip, choose positive growth.
When they choose bitterness, choose gratitude.
Your mindset is your protection. Not everyone will understand your joy or your calm, and that’s fine.
Some people are committed to misunderstanding you, but you must stay committed to staying positive.
Let negative‑minded people keep their storms.
You keep your sunshine.

WHAT IF THE PERSON WHO LOOKED FINE THIS MORNING IS ACTUALLY FIGHTING TO HOLD THEMSELVES TOGETHER?
They woke up, got ready, smiled, and started the week like everything was normal But inside, they are worried about rent.
They are thinking about school fees.
They are wondering how they will feed their children.
They are carrying a heartbreak they have not told anyone about.
And maybe they are tired of saying, “I’m fine,” because nobody seems to notice when they are not.
If that person is you, please remember this:
You do not have to solve your whole life today.
Take today slowly.
Handle what is in front of you. Give yourself permission to breathe. Ask for help when you need it. Pray when your heart is too heavy for words.
You have survived days you once thought would break you.
There is still hope for you.

ARE YOU A GBOROMIDELERU???????
There is a fascinating Yoruba expression: Gboromideleru. If you are a Yoruba man or woman you must have been familiar with that word.
Infact Yorubas often say 'Gboromideleru ma fi lomi ndasi'
Loosely understood, it describes the person in the Yoruba culture who hears about a matter, picks it up, and begins carrying it around as though it were his personal assignment.
Nobody invited her, nobody appointed her mediator, he/she doesn't have all the facts. But somehow, he has become the Minister of Information for a conflict that is not his own.
Social media has industrialized Gboromideleru.
A husband and wife have a disagreement- she has an opinion. Two siblings are fighting- she chooses a side.
Someone tells one side of a family dispute on a podcast - within thirty minutes she has written an epistle identifying the narcissist, the victim, the wicked in-law and the family member who should be disowned.
The danger of Gboromideleru is that he often arrives looking like a helper.
By the time she finishes helping you, a disagreement that could have been resolved over coffee now requires lawyers. And strangely, when the consequences arrive, Gboromideleru has moved on to the next trending matter.
I often stumble on social media and always in shock how people's private matters become content with many Gboromideleru's having opinion.
This is why we must develop relational intelligence.
Here are four ways to avoid becoming or empowering a Gboromideleru.
1. Don't Carry a Matter You Were Never Given - Not every story you hear requires your intervention. Before commenting, calling, posting or forwarding, ask:
"What exactly is my role here?"
If you are neither affected, invited nor professionally responsible for helping, sometimes the wisest contribution is silence. You don't have to attend every fight you are invited to by social media.
2. Never Make a Verdict From One Person's Story - Painful people tell stories from painful perspectives. That doesn't necessarily mean they are lying. It simply means you are hearing an experience through one person's eyes.
Family conflicts are especially complex because today's argument may have a twenty-year history.
Listen with compassion, but don't convert empathy into a verdict.
You can support someone without immediately making their relative your enemy.
3. Don't Confuse Escalation With Support - A true friend doesn't pour petrol on your anger.
Anybody who consistently makes you angrier after every conversation may not be helping you. The quality of counsel should be measured by what it produces, not by how good it makes your anger feel.
4. Become a Bridge, Not a Broadcasting Station - Before repeating something someone told you in confidence, ask whether repeating it will produce healing.
Some information should die with you.
Some screenshots should never be forwarded, some voice notes should never leave your phone and some family stories don't belong on Facebook.
So before joining the next trending family fight, perhaps we should all ask ourselves: Am I bringing water or am I carrying petrol? Because families have enough problems already.
They don't need another Gboromideleru.
