Osinbajo Speaks On Kidnapped Dapchi School Girl Leah Sharibu

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has assured Nigerians that Leah Sharibu, a Dapchi schoolgirl yet to be released by Boko Haram, will soon regain her freedom.

The Vice President gave the assurance at a concert in commemoration of the Easter celebration, yesterday in Lagos.

According to Osinbajo, victory was always assured in every challenge. He said, “As I understand the Cross, I believe that what happened was so unique. Apart from the death, there was a trial before victory. Christ was accused of many crimes and given a death sentence. What Christ went through was beyond dying. He had already taken the pain that is why we can proudly say that the Cross is an evidence of our own victory. Leah has stood up to stand by her faith and truth. I am certain on my mind the Cross is able to deliver her.

“I am excited that we Christians are praying for Leah who is still being held captive by insisting she will stand by the Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. The most exciting thing that a man can have is the knowledge here on earth that we are Victor and in Heaven, we will be counted among those that will reign with Christ in Heaven. There is nothing better than that. It is a win-win situation.”

    1. She wasn't brave but childish and foolish. Every religion gives you the opportunity to deny your faith in death and life situations. Right thing to do was deny her faith, get released and continue practicing her faith. Now she doesn't know if she'll survive or not. Oh well, many people have died for their religions

    2. eesah this is the most stupid comment i have read from you.....did you say every religion? how dare you even suggest Christianity says such....give me one instance if you have read in the bible where God or jesus encouraged you to deny your faith even in the face of death....if you have nothing to say next time keep quiet....commenting is not by force abeg...whether God chooses to allow her go free or not she has the ultimate victory of not denying christ and spending eternity in heaven...

    5. Indeed when Jesus said “Whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven”, he wasn't referring to death and life situations, and even if he was and Jesus himself were here, I'm sure he would understand if you denied him when a gun is placed on your head to. 😂😂😂

And if you guys were go be sincere, guns to your head, would you deny Jesus or not? Be sincere o. How many Christians won't?

    6. Unfortunately I have to agree with Essah. Christianity is a very delicate rate, imagine you are about to be killed and told to renounce your Christian faith or die. If you abide by your faith but have unconfessed sin or pending restitution you are not guaranteed an automatic ticket to heaven. You get killed and will still go to hell. Wisdom is profitable to direct in such situations. Leah would have been subjected to rape and God knows other heinous crimes that will haunt her for life if she comes out alive. Can you honestly say standing by her faith is the best solution for her? The bible says if we renounce him before men, he will renounce us before his father, the same bible also makes provision for forgiveness and repentance. The only sin that cannot be forgiven is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit not temporarily renouncing your faith. Christianity is very tricky, in some religions dying at the place of worship or pilgrimage is an automatic ticket to heaven. In Christianity, simply because you are in church, worshipping God and die in the process doesn't mean you will get to heaven. In Leah's case, I pray that God will not neglect her as she has publicly decided to abide in him and damn the consequences .however , only time will tell.

  5. I pray she returns home safely. Wise thing for anyone in the captivity of those demons to do is escape at any chance you get, not giving them options. They are blood sucking demons

  7. I pray God brings her back. She was brave I agree but the wise thing to do at that was to save herself. Anyway I believe God is still in the business of performing miracles.
