The automobile manufacturer, who made his feelings known in a press statement issued by the Head, Corporate Communications, Innoson Group Cornel Osigwe, insisted that he had remained a law abiding citizen and was never afraid of being arraigned.
He said in a statement, “I have been briefed by my lawyers that Justice Mojisola Dada of Lagos State High Court Ikeja granted the oral plea of counsel to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to declare me wanted because of my failure to appear before the court today. I have expressly stated before that I am not afraid of arraignment but must be arraigned through due process of the law.
“Declaring me wanted was done in bad faith and is simply to embarrass my personality, defame me and malign my character aimed to distract me from my daily activities in ensuring that Innoson Vehicles continue to produce durable made in Nigeria vehicles.
From Thisday
Political motivated! This government is a sham in all aspect.
ReplyDeleteWhat sham? Why did he refuse to present himself at the court after five invitations? Is he bigger than the law? But his way with money? No way.
DeleteYou are right bro. Simply because he's an Igbo man
DeleteThey should leave this man alone na
ReplyDeleteWhy? You just post comment because you want to post? The court invited him five times he refused to honour it. Why? Let him clear himself there. Not on print.
DeleteLet him appear in court and clear himself rather than use social media to for sentiment. Why refuse to appear in court. It's a case btw you and your bankers not the govt.
ReplyDeleteI guess you aren't following the story well. Already there is an appealed of stay of execution but the court isn't abiding by that. Go and read it very well you will understand. The judiciary has been caged and muzzle by this administration that one even innocent can't be guarantee of justice.
DeleteWhich court “appealed” what? Do you know what stay of execution even means? You should know better that this administration is even finding it hard with the judiciary. The judiciary is already a fraud and the little integrity it has is been frustrated with the kind of your comment and Innoson’s refusal to honour five invitations
DeleteAnonymous 12:02,Nigeria's problem is not so much of the leadership.
DeleteYou get an idea of why this country is the way it is with the kind of comments you read here on a daily basis.
He should honour his court invitation now
