Life Series -Cash That Check!

How bad is your situation?

Just last night I sat down to listen to a man whose wife had their first child 19 years after marriage. One striking thing he said was that through that very trying period, they maintained a positive confession, saying what God says about them.

Or maybe you have received a bad doctor's report concerning your health that plunges you into a state of hopeless? Whatever your case is, what is your confession in the midst of it? What are you saying about that situation? Are you saying, "I am finished. Nothing is moving" or "Things are getting better. I have a great future"?

Your words carry power! Kenneth E. Hagin said that a spiritual law too few of us realize is: Our confessions rule us.

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it will eat it's fruit thereof." Proverbs 18:21

There's this story of a young man who had inherited about £1 million but he refused his inheritance. Later he was found living in terrible poverty despite the fact that the £1 million that belonged to him was available to him in the bank. The bank even sent him blank checks with which to withdraw some of his inheritance.

Truth is, sometimes we Christians are like this young man. We live in spiritual and material poverty even though Jesus Christ has deposited all the inheritance of Heaven into our account, and we can draw from that inheritance all we want to! Cash that check!

How? With your mouth. Someone said, "If we have scriptures to back what we are speaking with our mouth, we will create the reality of it in our lives the way God creates realities when He speaks.

In other words, when we speak in line with God's Word, we create something - we bring something into being with the confession of our mouth. But it will never happen until we speak it with our mouth. We can think it in our mind. We can know it in our heart. But until we speak it with our mouth, it will never happen. That is cashing the check."

So, what are you saying about your situation irrespective of how bad it is?

Mark 11:22-23 says, "Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says"

The thing is: you shall SAY to the mountain, speak to the mountain. Not complain about the mountain or cry about the mountain or look at the mountain. You are to SPEAK to it, to that obstacle and command it to move!

But here's the condition, when you speak DON'T DOUBT in your heart but BELIEVE that those things you say will be done, YOU WILL HAVE WHATEVER YOU SAY !

Irrespective of what you see or hear, confess what is good. You may not be rich now but say you are rich. You may not have that job now but say you are getting it. You've longed for a child? Say it. Believe it. Find Scriptures that back up what God says concerning fruitfulness. Say it. Believe it. You will have whatever you say. It is your Father pleasure to give you good things.

SAY IT. BELIEVE IT. YOU WILL HAVE 'WHATEVER' YOU 'SAY'! Cash that check! No matter how long it takes, one thing is sure: what you say must come to you in Jesus' Name.

God bless you.

  7. Stella, I am depress. I have given up on positive confession. Most of us come in here to laugh and unwind. Behind the typos, grammar are some sad and almost ending-it-individuals.But God is on the throne, he will see us through.

Maybe I will start positive confession and see what happens again, but situations of life has left most speaking realities.
    God bless the writer

  10. If confess positively without working hard towards it, nothing will work. Its like confessing positively to have a baby n u not having sex or having medical intervention, its not magic or immaculate conception o.
