Nigerian Tailors Versus Fashion Designers..

The Only explanation I have for this is that the dress on the left was made by a fashion designer and the one on the right was made by a tailor.....
We need tips on how to tell the difference between a tailor and a fashion designer......lol

  5. I don't know when I'd start sewing again. Maybe in the future, I'd try a good designer. These tailors can make you cry. You buy material, take measurement, wait endlessly to collect your cloth, sometimes, it might need readjustment, the tailor would now start telling you "sister you don add weight, you don slim down" bla bla bla. In the end, the cloth may not come out nice.
For now, I buy Turkey gowns or skirt and blouse and zoom off. At least I'm sure of my size, the quality and I get value for money.

    1. Which one is Turkey gowns/skirt and blouse? I'm tired of sewing clothes, you give clothes to a fashion designer, you have to wait at lease 4 months to collect where I live.

  18. Am a good designer, and am gonna tell the difference between the two,a fashion designer its one who has passion for the job and does so with so much expertiseand finesse, they are very good at what they do,they choosed the profession because it's innate,it's what they are born to do,from sewing and designing clothes to giving out fashion tips and ideas to people, they dress uniquely, people are always seeking fashion ideas or helpsfrom them when they find themselves in places like the boutique, when buying fabrics, even accesories e.tc,theycan never go wrong or dissapoint when it comes to fashion, they are simply the best, their customers boastofthem to their friends and family,e.t.c...their work speaks volumes, they derive joy from what they do,,,a client or customer don't fret about them despite the charges because by the end of the day they get more than what they desire. ..
THEN the tailors are those semi illiterates that don't have passion for the job, they do it as a means of survival, they dont have human sympathy cause if they do,they will treat their clients well, very dishonest, and sometimes you blame these clients of Obama tailors for their misfortune, because their choice of fabric is distasteful coupled with amateur tailor,so what do you expect?garbage ofcourse, the fabric consist to 60% of the outcome of a design,if it's a beautiful+quality fabric+quality designer=perfecto,so my candid advice to all clients if you can't afford a goodtailor, stay off quacks if you do t wanna cry,and if you must ensure your fabric is of good quality,if you so much love fashion,go learn it yourself and save yourself the stress and heartbreak, ciaoπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚!!!

  19. Fashion designer doesn't talk much ,they are professionals but tailors will keep reassuring you that they can do It. They way they will be talking , you will just know that they are trying to convince their self.

  25. Your awoof came with bone!!!, What price did she pay for what she got, the material does not even seem enough - And the body shape she came in, Hmm, the tailor try.

  26. We all have Champagne tastes and lemonade pockets. You get what you pay for. A trained couturier is different to a local tailor. The mechanics of the dress may include internal boning and corsetry. The measurements are also more precise with at least two fittings to ensure the dress hangs and fits well. Anyway not my circus not my monkeys

  27. Must people sew every thing they see? Was it not the client that bought the material and that colour??
the tailor messed up no doubt
