The Only explanation I have for this is that the dress on the left was made by a fashion designer and the one on the right was made by a tailor.....
We need tips on how to tell the difference between a tailor and a fashion designer......lol

LMAO ππππ
ReplyDeleteBut you don't expect an onions that charges 2k to give you the exact style? π€·π€·π€·. If you want quality please be ready to cough out money oh
Yesooo, when you want quality, go to where quality can be gotten and pay for it oh. Better food na money kill am.
DeleteBut there are some baddass tailor with fair prices oh. Whenever I'm introduced to a new tailor, I would ask you severally if you can do it else I will work with what you are comfortable and good with and save the complicated style for whobi trust.
This one sha, it looks like the tailor can't sew at all cos there's no even fitting. Everything is wack.
Thank God the tailor ddnt eveb bother with sleeves πππ
When you give your clothes to road side tailor I wonder what you expect. Magic ???
DeleteIf you want quality service you have to be able to bring out quality money.
Let her go and sew iro and buba 1k.
I meant "OBIOMA " auto correct mind yourself oh
DeleteSURA the Tailor.
Delete@samegirl there are some tailors that would never admit they can't sew the style even if you ask over and over again.

ReplyDelete"THE OBIOMA "
DeleteMy dear, 'onions' even fit am more. What kind of mgbekism sewing is this.
DeleteDifferent shapes
ReplyDeleteDifferent dresses...
Why didn't she for to a fashion designer? She wanted to cut corners Abi hahahahha. When you bill them, they run only, to get things like this. Sorry oh! Next time go to a fashion designer and leave obiomas for amendment.
ReplyDeleteI don't know when I'd start sewing again. Maybe in the future, I'd try a good designer. These tailors can make you cry. You buy material, take measurement, wait endlessly to collect your cloth, sometimes, it might need readjustment, the tailor would now start telling you "sister you don add weight, you don slim down" bla bla bla. In the end, the cloth may not come out nice.
ReplyDeleteFor now, I buy Turkey gowns or skirt and blouse and zoom off. At least I'm sure of my size, the quality and I get value for money.
Which one is Turkey gowns/skirt and blouse? I'm tired of sewing clothes, you give clothes to a fashion designer, you have to wait at lease 4 months to collect where I live.
DeleteBuy online or on Instagram. Most of them buy from Turkey.
DeleteThere are some nice ready to wear Ankara and silk dresses. There is a store in lekki that stocks them from different designers.
DeleteFrom 15/20/25k upwards. The sizes are already there.
Who has time for tailor.
This one na Masquerade costume?
ReplyDeleteThe cut & join tailor must have been a retired Carpenter...
Hahahah
DeleteHahaha, been waiting for your comment.
DeleteAbeg where's Lady bug?
A tailor is an obioma. Dwa dwa people. When you see them for shop, you will know. They usually get old sewing machine with or without legs. My mum machine na singer. Na to patch clothes for us. She no be tailor at all.
ReplyDeleteSome of them carry am for heads most especially na abokis don take over from my bros
There is a difference btw obioma and fashion designer.
ReplyDeleteHahahhaahahaha. But this is not funny at all...
ReplyDeleteHahahabahaha.
ReplyDeleteTruely there's a difference between a fashion designer and a tailor..
They don't even look alike, shape or not
ReplyDeleteHad to go back and take a look. Hahahahaha
ReplyDeleteIt is the person's fault, how do you expect a tailor to sew this?
ReplyDeleteHahahahhahaha
ReplyDeleteA fashion designer may charge 20k
Tailor will charge 2k
The designs are not even the sameπππππ
If you investigate now,he fit be say na 2000 or 1500 she pay and she expect magic, kole work.Tailor is different from a designer.
ReplyDeleteππππ
ReplyDeleteThe gown looks so different.
ReplyDeleteShe is comparing the body that looks like sac with that of the lady.
ReplyDeleteAm a good designer, and am gonna tell the difference between the two,a fashion designer its one who has passion for the job and does so with so much expertiseand finesse, they are very good at what they do,they choosed the profession because it's innate,it's what they are born to do,from sewing and designing clothes to giving out fashion tips and ideas to people, they dress uniquely, people are always seeking fashion ideas or helpsfrom them when they find themselves in places like the boutique, when buying fabrics, even accesories e.tc,theycan never go wrong or dissapoint when it comes to fashion, they are simply the best, their customers boastofthem to their friends and family,e.t.c...their work speaks volumes, they derive joy from what they do,,,a client or customer don't fret about them despite the charges because by the end of the day they get more than what they desire. ..
ReplyDeleteTHEN the tailors are those semi illiterates that don't have passion for the job, they do it as a means of survival, they dont have human sympathy cause if they do,they will treat their clients well, very dishonest, and sometimes you blame these clients of Obama tailors for their misfortune, because their choice of fabric is distasteful coupled with amateur tailor,so what do you expect?garbage ofcourse, the fabric consist to 60% of the outcome of a design,if it's a beautiful+quality fabric+quality designer=perfecto,so my candid advice to all clients if you can't afford a goodtailor, stay off quacks if you do t wanna cry,and if you must ensure your fabric is of good quality,if you so much love fashion,go learn it yourself and save yourself the stress and heartbreak, ciaoππππ!!!
Nice advert... U re indeed a passionate designer... Amazon baroness... Even ur name is quality!
DeletePlenty English.
DeleteWe know your type.
When they give you six yards ankara, you will return bedsheet with hands.
Please.
Enough.
Gone through enough sorrow.
When Christmas comes, will just package all the ankara I've bought earlier as gifts.
I so luv " if you so much love fashion, go learn it yourself... That's what I did and I'm so glad I did. No tailor will mess with me. When I started learning, people thought I was stupid/ a mumu, now story don change.
DeleteFashion designer doesn't talk much ,they are professionals but tailors will keep reassuring you that they can do It. They way they will be talking , you will just know that they are trying to convince their self.
ReplyDeleteLmao... wat an intelligent observation! Gosh...Your last sentence tho. Lol
DeleteChai! See hand falling. After waiting endlessly, this sort of thing can pain!
ReplyDeleteπππππ
ReplyDeleteππππππππππ

ReplyDeleteYour awoof came with bone!!!, What price did she pay for what she got, the material does not even seem enough - And the body shape she came in, Hmm, the tailor try.
ReplyDeleteLMAO choiii pele oooo...
ReplyDeleteWe all have Champagne tastes and lemonade pockets. You get what you pay for. A trained couturier is different to a local tailor. The mechanics of the dress may include internal boning and corsetry. The measurements are also more precise with at least two fittings to ensure the dress hangs and fits well. Anyway not my circus not my monkeys
ReplyDeleteMust people sew every thing they see? Was it not the client that bought the material and that colour??
ReplyDeletethe tailor messed up no doubt
