    1. My point exactly, if you want a PA that works like a slave just get a PA and a maid. You can’t be telling them to be doing chores for you, without stating it earlier on.
Wake I don’t care about the gist just pay that girl her one month salary, even if you don’t want her back, which one be probation again? So the month she worked is free? Rubbish

    2. I wasn't given employment letter and was on probation for 3months but still got paid.

In the second month, my boss put all (workers) on medical insurance. U even have the choice of hospital closest you your home in case of late night emergency.

He paid us overtime knowing fully well that we may be summoned to work on weekends, he remained very kind and we all worked our socks off for him.

Some Ogas can be very nice while some claim to be hard boss.... But guess what suffers, the job.

    3. I don't know about Waje, but I know some people are terrible bosses and will work you to the ground for peanuts and still demand your respect while being very abusive of you. They still expect your loyalty and believe they are doing you a favour by employing you. Evil people. Some employees are very wicked, they are lazy and they are sycophants but never loyal. Behind their backs they would pull their employers down and sabotage the buisness because it is not their own, or steal customers.
What am I saying? In the employer/employee relationship there must be a balance. Tankio! Lol

    2. Abeg people be talking all sorts. Is waje supposed to be checking if she ate before she came to work or ate before going home? She is a grown as woman that needs to eat on her own time! If you are in school stay in school. If you are working work. Don’t get a job and start saying you can’t work because of exams. You would have taken a job that’s less demanding or wait to finish school! Do you know what it is to be someone’s pa??? But waje should have paid her. probation or not. And young girls please sign contracts before jobs. It is also highly silly of you to expect your boss to pay or help with your hospital bills. Nigerians be having some silly sense of entitlements! I am not waje or her friend ohh I’m just an EA who understands the stress that comes with the job.

    5. @Oxygen..Waje could be suffering from mental problem..was she not the one that said she broke a phone into 2 when she was depressed? For a human being to break a phone dat is very strong into two places means something is fundamentally with her.. So I think waje has a problem with anger and that's why she is always treating her PA's bad... She can never have a successful relationship with people and lovers with such attitude.. I just pity her.

This is how u were ranting on Instablog with a fake troll profile defending ur wickedness, when I replied to u and told u to atop hiding behind fake page to defend itself u blocked me..Why did u block me if not bcos of guilty conscience? If that page did not belong to u,u would have ignored me or defended urself that u are not waje.. For u to rush and block mW when I'm not following u means u are mentally unwell.. Bitterness has consumed u.. U think by blocking me u have sacked me like y do to ur PA's? Weyrey woman..Go and see a shrink bcos u are loosing it.. From breaking ur phone,u will soon enter lagoon..

    9. Ahh. It is not silly oh. Which planet are you from? Our ogas are always concerned when any of their PAs are sick. I don’t know the kinda people you work with. If you are sick they tend to you immediately. In this digital age most work are done online and few running around. It is a demanding job and they are bound to break down after some time. Weekends are free to rest unless it is extremely important you go to the office. Please ask around if you don’t know what it takes. We are in Nigeria don’t mean everything is all shitty.

    11. Chikito there's a difference btw asking for time off to write a scheduled exam and asking for few days to study. Few days can be in a range of 2 to 10 days sef. Asking for such within first month of employment means the job ain't convenient and maybe you should quit. I mean you can ask, but your employer could say no cos you haven't earned it yet.

Imagine going home hungry, she doesnt even ask if shes eaten.
Women can be so wicked to themselves.

    5. Madam EA calm down!
I was a PA and trust me when I say some bosses are demanding. I resume 7am and leave the office 10:30-11pm. Can you beat that? I'd go long hours without eating and even when I'd eat, I'd still hide to eat and even rush my food. I had good days too..but I don't want to make this about me.
I have issues with this PA, but my issue with Waje is not paying her. You work in a structured office with sop and should know that even those on probation get paid.
If Waje is using this 'scope' to cheat people, seeing as she's had 3PAs in 4 months or whatever, then that's cheating.
It's just like those ogas in the market that'd bring an apprentice to work for an agreed period of say of 5 years. Then chase them away after 1 year...bring another one to work for a year..then chase that one away too....all without settlement o. Haba now! That's free services and it's called CHEATING!
If you have a good job that allows you some flexibility, thank God, but don't bullshit other people's struggle.

    6. PA work is very demanding especially for people in the entertainment industry. Knowing she was enrolled in school and how tasking that can be, she shouldn't have applied and accepted a PA job. Nigerians don't know the word 'professionalism' when it comes to work. No sentiments in business!!!

    7. My question is will you get a job in a bank or some other company and ask for all these within your first Month? People do not understand the concept of sowing and reaping. You dedicate you first couple of months to earning the right to ask for these freebie or benefits. Nigerians and sense of entitlement self. I understand Waje's situation. And the fact that most people are on the PAs side shows that she will not get the kind of PA that she is looking for. It is sad but that is the issue with the Nigerian labor market. People are not looking for employers, they are looking for benefactors. I know too many stories of people who worked long hours, some with no pay or minimal pay when they started off their careers and it paid off. There are so many ways to ensure you eat at work . It is not your employer's problem. This one is looking for someone that will pay hospital bill, and give her from the time that they pay for to go to school in her first month of employment. Is Waje a charity organization? Nonsense! Waje, just pay her and let this matter die. Do not respond because Nigerian social media is filled with people who have so clouded their minds with envy that they cannot reason.

All I see is familiarity turned sour.

Irrespective of the relationship either formal/informal, pls make a small paperwork when employing someone and stick to the terms. There won't be need to rant on SM afterwards.

    1. No. It shows that the young ones are so entitled and unprofessional. Our youth start working quite late..most of them get their first jobs at 28. In developed countries, people get first jobs at 15/16. By the time they are 28, they've learned all about work ethic and productivity. Even teenage babysitters don't whine this much about their jobs.

  11. Nigeria sef. An offer letter and job description should come with every job, ask for it if you didn't get one.. it's a legal document. Unless health insurance is part of your job benefits, Waje owes you nothing for your illness. If you ask for unofficial 'leave' to study, your employer may refuse to grant that, or may decide to deduct from your paycheck. If you need breakfast to function, wake up early and eat before resuming. If you work late, grab some dinner. If a job is inconvenient, quit. Why mother-guilt her.. she should understand as a mother yadayada. Companies are owned by individuals who are most likely parents and they don't 'understand' when employees are unproductive. Your role is quite dispensable sef.. she's had 4 of you in a month. Brace up or quit.

  15. So probation means slavery. Everyone should be paid if they worked 1 day or 1 min. Well, if she has gone through four PAs in three months that says a lot in of itself. It is obvious that she is a very demanding person who requires around the clock attendance even in her sleep. What would be the situation if she was a BeyoncΓ© or Rihanna with a ridiculous schedule and tight deadlines to meet. God knows why he gives some ppl more and some less, I can only imagine the beast she would be if she was a global superstar.

Your employee might have been naive to think she could act up by taking days off in a month of starting her post as your PA, But that does not give Waje any RIGHT to say she is on probation and no getting a dime. THAT IS SLAVERY modern day.

You can do better than this Waje.

Am an entrepreneur with 13 staffs on my paylist. I have chase out about 5 lazy graduates from my small company within a period of 4months. U can't resume work in your first month and be talking of school na. HABA!!! Na to send u away so that u go concentrate on ur school. 1. So why must Waje hire a student? Does she not get applications from young women who are out of school and who have the ability to travel and fulfill the demands of the job completely? She hires students because she wants to pay peanuts or nothing at all!!!Which student enrolled in full-time studies is able to be a PA to celebrity, a celebrity who is constantly travelling and have a hectic schedule. So she doesn't have interview when these ppl apply? She doesn't do background check on them? Mtschhw anybody can just apply and have close access to her. She knows exactly what she is doing.

  22. She lacks organization. Plan your time well so you can eat properly etc. A job is a job. If you cannot handle it/ multi tax, quit. Probation is real even in the civil service. Leave cannot be within the 1st month. Waje does not owe you money for your bills or transportation. Next time, read the fine print. Lazy Nigerian youth!

  23. Its wrong to ask for such excuse/casual leave just within a month, it appears she doesn't know her job wella.
BTW Waje please pay her because she wasted her resources, at least for the energy.

  25. I went to her page only to see some comments from her voltrons applauding her. Imagine Gbemi olateru, Sharon Ojong and a host of all those yeyebrities supporting her and saying the PAs don’t want to work and very lazy but they can be begging. Chai. Better people like Toke wey be full time hustler go get PA, pple like Gbemi and those wannabes go open mouth too de talk of PA. I no blame them na the country I blame.
For changing four PAs in 3 months, Waje has an issue. Nigerians can work under better stress so long as they see the money coming. Did anyone see the video of the driver who was eating Eba on the steering and still carrying passengers? It is that bad.
What is her working schedule like? I understand this last one of hers might not have understood what the job entails, hence this complaint. But the other three nko? Do not overwork them despite the fact the work is already stressful. Provide them with the necessary benefits. PA go de jump bus to go run errands for madam, you will some under the rain going to do yeye work all soaked.
I don’t want to brag here but some employers know how to treat their PAs well. I am one of them. You have a special driver for errands and all what not. Medical benefits are intact from day one. The only thing they require from you is your hardwork and determination, don’t come up with plenty excuses. You work hard but you smile at the same time cos the salary and work environment is very conducive. Your only problem is you work round the clock. A PAs job can take you anywhere, from traveling to better places to even ending up in a forest. So Waje should check herself. She might not need a PA but because she wants to live the life of ‘ oh yeah, my PA is sorting it out’ kinda brag. She is talking about having two maids. Make I clap for am.

  27. Ms Waje and those supporters defending working for a month without pay, fear God. It’s only in Nigeria you hear people being owed for months. How do you expect them to pay their bills. She did not qualify for any meeting with Obama. Just another entitled pseudo rich Nigerian Madam. For her supporters saying she isn’t entitled to lunch or Waje should not care if she is sick, someone even justifying it with Western lifestyle of starting work at 15/16, you are on the wrong side.

Nigeria has NO labor laws at all. Labor laws specify minimum wage, break after every 6 or 5 hours of work and in most western countries you are paid twice a month, weekly or monthly and were she to be in the US, this PA will clean her out. The problem with Nigeria is the false lifestyle due to economic hardship and job scarcity. What is her income that she has a PA? It’s only in Nigeria that someone riding a Honda city or beetle has a chauffeur. Chauffeurs make anything from $4k to $7k, same with PAs etc so only the rich, I mean real rich hire them and they live well. Even the once a week house cleaning lady gets $100 per visit, that is per day and can live well. As a result of serious unemployment, you hired a college graduate for a month, let her go, no medical benefits, no breaks, no other legal work hours and you ask her to leave without pay? And someone wonders why Nigeria is messed up? We are our greatest enemies and if Waje that’s not even known beyond the shores of her country is this wicked to (by implication) be getting free labor using 3 people and not paying them, it’s sad. There should be labor laws and they should be enforced. Even a 13 year old babysitting a Neighbour’s child gets paid immediately. This culture of not paying people has to stop. It’s wicked. By the way, yes employers do care and provide medical, dental, retirement and other benefits and labor laws forbid you using someone from 7am to 10pm and refusing to pay them because they are on probation. Enough of the zoo culture and the fake madams! Try it here and your business would shut down due to litigation. No immigration laws so Indian technicians pretend to be engineers and bully Nigerians, Chinese employers beating their Nigerian employees....on and on. We need labor laws, immigration laws. Etc.
