An election happened in the book of Matthew 27:11-26.
The election was between Jesus Christ (The Messiah) and Jesus Barabbas (The notorious criminal).
Meanwhile, I understand all the spiritual attachments to the death of Jesus and how it was all in the game plan for Jesus to die. Yes, the father (God) had planned the salvation of mankind that Jesus should save the world by dying. So, it was all in the plan - agreed. But that's not our point of discussion today.
But let's take a peep into the election that happened back then.
Jesus taught about values, healed the sick, raised the dead, fed the multitude (several times), set free the condemned (the adulterous woman), and made peace with people.
But it was quite amazing how a man with such an impeccable character and value system lost the election to "A notorious criminal" - how did he win against Christ?
Where were the 5,000 he fed?
Where were the 4,000 he fed?
Where were the 10 lepers?
Where were the multitudes he taught?
Where was the woman with the issue of blood and her family?
Where were the blind that gained their sight?
Where were the lames and the the crippled that got healed?
Where were the in-law of Peter? (At least he healed their mother)
Where was the head of the military force (the centurion)? At least, he healed his servant. And he was also a man of great influence.
Most importantly, where were his disciples
The list is endless. Even the bible records that all the account of Jesus couldn't be written, because even the world can't contain the books. John 21:25
You are wondering my point exactly? Yes, my point is this; I think these people rather chose to pray at home that Jesus would be released and were scared to go out.
My point here is that, by 2019, "Don't vote for any candidate vying for any office according to the colour of their skin (sentiment) or according to their political party; but according to the content of their character and values." - Paraphrased.
The election was also rigged in our text of study. Matthew 27:20 "But the chief priests and elders PERSUADED the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus."
The elders rigged and influenced the people's decision. They could have stood for their values and future. But they sold their vote.
2019 is just here, don't be fooled. Go and vote for values, character, wisdom, worth, content.
Don't allow "the elders" (political louts) choose on your behalf; the notorious criminal over the Messiah for you (I'm not saying that anyone is a Messiah though. Just contextualising).
Because if they do, any bill passed into law would also affect you and your children.

I would want to ask you and my fellow BVs to give me a little advice concerning my interest in Studying and relocating to Germany. I graduated in 2016 with a degree in Geomatic engineering.
Getting a job in my country is daunting especially for women in engineering as most companies prefer to employ the men because they feel the job requires a certain “man power” and also most employers want to have sexual relationships before they employ females so I have decided to pursue a Masters degree and Germany is a top choice for me since some of their Universities are tuition free.
Now my headache is , I want a course that my chances of being employed will be High after my studies and also any other advice that will improve my chances of getting a permanent staying/working permit is also welcome.

DeleteI had a terrible experience some weeks ago, wanted to share but was too scared to even think about it. So i boarded a public tp to go visit my mum as usual, i noticed this gentleman man standing close and gisting with i guess the elder sister. As the bus was about moving, he entered and sat in between me and another guy, i was the last passenger at the back towards the driver's side. On our way going, guy man started behaving strangely killing imaginable mosquitoes or should i call it flies hmmm i kept my cool, sometimes the fingers will hit me while i pretended to be looking out the window, my suspicions were confirmed when he warned the next passenger to stop disturbing him by pressing his phone else he will cease the phone and throw it out of the window, yeeeee this one pass one chance Ooh by then i have already started sweating deep inside. Soon he started screaming that they are here, someone wants to use him for ritual inside this car, a man is manipulating him. He continued shouting while telling the driver to stop the car, come and see me screaming driver please stop this 🚗

Everyone flew out of the bus remaining me, the mad fellow and the next guy because he had to step down before i can be able to and the other guy, i held him tight begging him not to leave me. The psycho pinned me to wall and to worsen the situation, the window close to me couldn't open for me to practice my own version of Usain Bolt..... I never prayed so hard like i did that moment, confessed both past, present and future sins for God to show mercy on me. Something pushed him, immediately he jumped out of the bus and went straight to hold one elderly man that he was the person manipulating and trying to hijack his destiny. Omo i rushed out of the car already panting and sweating profusely and could hear my heart beat. One of the passengers recognized him as someone that has been mad for a while and the madness is seasonal. At last, we left him at the middle of nowhere as all the passengers refused to sit with him.
I felt pity for him as i looked back from the moving vehicle and saw him walking aimlessly .... I was still shaking till i got home
