    2. Abeg shift jor, didn’t Attah make Akpabio governor? Didn’t Akpabio turn against Attah? He is only reaping what he sowed and ohhhhhh, that stadium totally deserves the present Name it has. Attah did the airport and what did Akpabio do? Does he have respect? She i he thinks he is God, he wants to use the machinery of government but he forgot how he was before. He has forgotten that his secrets are in people’s hands
Akwa Ibom does not belong to him and he will see bloated sense of self delusion will soon come crashing down

      Sell out oshi...

  5. That would have been the name initially since it is owned by the state. Unless on a special occasion where a dead individual is immortalized for a good deed.

    1. Exactly. How do you use government funds to carry out a project and then name it after yourself. Our leaders are just too silly. Some will even build state schos and name it after themselves. Rubbish

    3. @Tever you didn't get my point very well. I didn't talked about party here, I stated the right thing that would have been done abinitio. Problem with Nigerians is that we politicize things a lot.

    4. Akpabio did not name the stadium after himself. He called it Akwa Ibom International Stadium (aka Nest of Champions) at inception. It was Udom that named the stadium after Akpabio apparently in appreciation of having rode on Akpabio's back to become governor. Now they are quarreling and Udom has decided to change the name yet again. That's petty.

    1. You all are getting it wrong. Why name government property after you? What if Akpabio decide to lay claim of it tomorrow? The only problem here is the timing this was done and aside that I don't see anything wrong in what Udom has done.

    2. did Udom change the name out of a sense of patriotism? if apkabio had not defected would he have changed it? selfish and petty group of humans. if he had done it as soon as he became governor then i would have been impressed. we siddon dey look their shenanigans..bunch of greedy self centered and stupid men

    3. IT WAS UDOM THAT NAMED IT AFTER APAKBIO, THE REAL NAME GIVEN TO IT BY AKPABIO WAS NET OF CHAMPION STADIUM

  13. Our politicians are ready to fight political war and neglect the masses. Developing this country is not in their reasoning.

  14. When Men start feeling so important God disappoints them, Akpabio thinks he owns Akwa ibom but don't be shocked when this man called Udom wins for second term...
