    Am currently dating a guy am older than with 4yrs older, I feel some how at times cos my immediate younger brother is older than him and his the same age with our last born.... We are so in love with each other and am a single mum...don't no if I should end the relationship.... Hmmmmmm

    I am 47 going 48 soon in the New Year IJN. I'm single but not interested in young boy. Noooh...not for me. Especially from our naija boys, that even when they are 55 yrs old, their mentality and mindset is same with that of a teenage white boy in comparison.
    For some reasons, the naija man lacks mental capacity or (love unconditionally) cognitive intellect to understand levels / needs in a relationship with an older woman than the man himself. So it will be a very bad thing, disaster for me to consider any naija younger man than my age.

      That mindset “might” be why you’re single now. I’m 38 and recently got married to a 35yr old. What matters is the person and not the age although the age needs to be put into consideration too. At what stage is the guy in life? Is he a chop and clean mouth type? Is he broke? Could he need you for business financing, connections, papers? etc. Almost everything in life is a risk but just make sure things are not mostly stacked against you and use your head. If you’ve always had the mindset of not giving a younger guy a chance while you wait for men your age or older, you could have let a lot of good potentials go. Besides, men your age are constantly looking you ladies 10-15yrs younger anyways so why waste your time waiting it out for them? A lot of younger guys are actually coming up more matured than the older ones these days although there are also plenty plenty crooks coming up too. And if marriage isn’t really your thing but just dating, it isn’t a crime to date someone younger. Your male counterparts have been doing it for years while making the women feel like muck for even thinking it. All na wash!! My mum’s best friend is older than her husband by many years, my uncle is younger than his wife, my mum’s classmate is older than her hubby and the list goes on. It’s been happening for years for those who don’t allow that way of thinking to limit them. My brother is younger than his wife and I’m older than my hubby. And all these people listed are well-established, even well known people in the society who have been married for decades - well, except for me and my bro. So dear sis, please don’t allow that way of thinking to limit you, you just have to be wise about your choices
