ReplyDeleteYes, for certain laws, you enjoy some privileges and accorded some honorary treatment and respect for BEING former Vice President, not for BEING a presidential aspirant and not because you are or should BE ABOVE certain laws. And please, don’t come up with such above-the-law-nonsense as excuses to play with the laws of a country, Mr former Vice President. You have never been a president, sir. This is the best time to make Nigerians believe and have trust in you by showing them you can and will obey, operate and abide by rules of law and engagement. Something really needed in Nigeria, particularly at the hands of people of authority. My two pennies.

ReplyDeleteI’d like to believe it’s a standard procedure to search private jets that come into the country. If you are not flying Nigerian Airforce, then you ought to be searched. The statement by Atiku about been searched however, means he wasn’t searched before now, which posits a big question mark on the acts of our security agencies. Have the private jets of the elites been searched before now? If no is the answer, then I think Nigerians have a more serious issue to worry about. We know the elites are the instigators of carnage in this country, so for all we know they’ve being taking advantage of the loop hole in our nation’s security to ferry contraband into the country. For all we know, these people have being ferrying ammunitions into the country.
