I had a dream in June that she died during childbirth so I called her immediately and told her to try natural birth this time around since she did CS 2wice for her other kids but she laughed it off. I told my mom too but she kept asking me why I think I can tell a trained "Doctor" what to do! Well, My Aunty died yesterday during surgery and now they all think am a witch. Even my grandma was giving me side eyes all thru yesterday and I just hate myself!

What actually made him said that was, during his younger brothers wedding, what they bought for the dowry stuff was way below the list they gave them, they told the lady's family to accept it like that, that they should understand there isn't money and my fiancee contributed 90% of the money but they went and scattered the traditional wedding.
Also their dad died and he sent money for the renovation of the house and also money for the burial ( he is the only one that is well to do and also learned) . They didnt renovate any house when he went for the burial, they used a field instead of hall that he sent money for, he even gave each of them personal money. To even think they were spending all the money meant for the man when he was sick until he died. They are 7children but he is the only one that his being responsible for everything. Now the last one is their mum who he sends money to ( he opened acct for her after he found out they don't give the woman any money) even the person she always send to collect the money from her, always bring half of the money or tell her there isnt money there. He (fiancee) had to change the alert number to His own phone number to know what is going on with his mum acct, they didn't know and he realised they are always withdrawing the money at the woman's back.
That's why he decided he won't give them the money for his marriage things.
I know its none of my biz and I don't want wahala for myself. I was only asking to know how to go about it.

Deletegood move. alot of women desperately stay in bad relationships and keep hoping for marriage that becomes a mirage...u can find love again. my friends aunty's marriage ended when she was about 49 no child.the husband left her and it was like the world has ended. meanwhile the idiot had treated her badly for more than 10 years but she feel say she don old till the guy kuku walk out on the marriage...she met a divorce in his early 60s this year with kids and she is getting married dec...his wife was too adulterous(they confirmed)which was what broke the marriage. she is planning IVFand we trust God she will be successful. not lying, if you see the way the guy treats her like a queen u go jealous. when his wife left he refused to remarry cos of his kids, now they are grown and have all left home so he is free....bottom line dont hang on to something bad cos you feel you are too old or u will never find love again. there are still good men out there and it is not too late for anyone
DeleteStellz Doh! Because i didn't tell you Doh the last time but rather was laughing and calling you big baby, Mine started last week. I have extracted a tooth before and it wasn't funny, the last time i went for scaling and polishing the dentist asked me to come back to take care of it, i stubbornly refused. Now its aching, Stellz doh ooooooo, i dont want to visit the dentist ooo.... Pele Stellz, Ndoo Stellz, Sorry Stellz... My gum is swollen, my face is hot, I have a headache. I cant chew and i just grew my wisdom tooth not too long ago....

To the writer of Wednesday's chronicle (7th of November), the main reason your MIL is giving you attitude is because she sees you as being loose, a cheap lady. You having sex with her son in the living room portrayed you as being cheap on her eyes. That it means in your single days, men had it easy with you. That of all the ladies, it's a "cheap person" her son had to marry.
Mama is only thinking that way based on her upbringing and mindset. She's not conversant with modern day intimacy routines.
So have a chat with her and defend yourself politely. Let her know you aren't cheap and her son WENT THROUGH FIRE to convince you to let him into your life. Open your mouth and praise yourself and dignity well. Her son too should stand up and defend you as well. I have come to realise that a man's family will honor and respect the wife if they see him do likewise to her.
Only few people understand mama's attitudinal outburst. Shoutout to Ageless and others who did. Much respect to you all.

You are right o. Things are really expensive. A while back, I wasn't feeling fine so I went to a general hospital here in Lagos. I registered with 500naira and all they gave me was drugs for malaria. By the time I was leaving, I had parted with almost 6000 naira just for drugs that would have cost less in another registered pharmacy.
